Meet the XERO Pure Water Lineup!
-
The XERO Pure has been fully updated! It's an affordable, easy-to-use, three-stage purification system that is great for beginners, residential or commercial window cleaners. The three-stage stages of purification include Carbon, RO, and DI. Built-in house, it is durable, lightweight and easy to transport. It can handle soft or hard water and has great pressure at 2-3 stories (check your TDS here to find out what kind of water you have).
This is our most economical and affordable system and is great for running one pole at 30' to 40'. It comes loaded with all the filters and fully assembled, pre built right out of the box so you are ready to get to work. Need to run two poles or need a little more power? Scroll down to check out the XERO Pure MAX.

The XERO Pure MAX is a powerhouse of a high flow system! Need to run two poles? Want something you won't outgrow? If you simply want more water flow, this is the unit for you. The dual ROs on this unit produce 1 gallon per minute allowing you to work without a pump on high windows. Easily run two poles at once for those big jobs. This unit can handle the hardest of water and help you tackle up to 4-5 stories with ease. If you're tight on space and need something more compact, scroll down to check out the XERO Pure ATOM.

The improved XERO Pure MAX + ups the ante with an improved filtration system to tackle any job. As city water treatment centers continue to add chloramines to their water, adding a chloramine filter was absolutely necessary to extend the life of the dual RO membranes of this system. With a pressure gauge included on the top, you can monitor the pressure coming from your filters as it reaches you RO membranes for a more comprehensive use of your system. These units are made in-house by WCR team members who inspect every detail to ensure they're perfect. There are sturdy steel frames that everything is mounted to, including the large flat-free wheels. We avoided using plastic fittings that would be likely to break and opted for durable metal ones.
-
If you have a lower TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) and work in areas with softer water, are a solo operator, or are only planning on using your new setup infrequently, a single-stage system might be for you! A general rule of thumb is if your TDS is under 100, a simple DI tank-based system would be the most cost-efficient for you.
System Maintenance
It is important to take care of your system to ensure its longevity.

It's extremely important that you let your RO Membrane saturate completely before use! If you don't, you won't be able to achieve the results you want and will exhaust your DI Resin. It can take up to 12 hours for the RO Membrane to fully saturate.
To properly saturate the RO Membrane, hook your system up to a garden hose and let the water run through it for 10 to 15 minutes. Turn the water off and let it sit. Ideally, let it sit overnight so the membrane has plenty of time to saturate so your system will work as it's supposed to!
Note: The time it takes RO Membranes to fully saturate may vary.

Maintaining your Carbon Pre Filter is extremely easy! We provide the tools you need to replace your filter, so you can keep your filter in tip-top shape. You should change your filter whenever you get a clog or there is a significant slowdown in water production.
Simply loosen your filter housing using the provided filter wrench, you won't need to turn it far since the housing isn't too tightly in place. Take off the bottom of the housing, throw away the old filter, and pop in a new one. Use the supplied lube to lubricate the housing o-ring seal, then put it back on your system.
Caution: You do not need to tighten this housing down anything beyond a snug fit. Do not overtighten!

Your TSD Meter will tell you when your DI Resin is spent and needs to be changed. You should always change your resin at 10 parts per million, any further and you might end up going back to clean spots off the windows left from water that isn't 100% pure.
Use the larger filter wrench that is provided to loosen the DI housing from your system. The bottom portion will come right off and inside is your refillable DI Cartridge. Unscrew the top of the cartridge and remove the foam filter. Clean out the old resin, put in some nice fresh resin, and you're ready to go!
Note: It's important to lubricate your o-rings before resealing any filter housing.

When is it time to change my RO Membrane? If you are experiencing a sudden loss of flow, or are burning through resin faster than normal, it is probably time to change your RO Membrane. These filters can easily last over a year with consistent use, but it is still the main component of your system and requires some maintenance.
To avoid an algae build-up in your system, always completely flush your system with clean tap water before replacing a new RO Membrane into the unit. Don't forget to properly saturate your RO for maximum efficiency. -
-
If you experience water spraying out of your inlet when you first hook it up to your tap water source, there are two things you can do. The first and most common fix is to hand-tighten the connection just a little more. The second possibility, you may be missing your O ring. The O ring is a small circular piece of rubber used to seal the water flow between brass fittings.
Caution: You only need to hand-tighten, no tools necessary. Do not overtighten!

If you have recently refreshed your DI Resin, and your TDS is still reading above 10 PPM, there are a few things to consider.
Your DI Cartridge needs to be packed with resin snuggly, and replaced in the proper housing with the O ring side up. If the cartridge isn't placed just right, or slightly shifted when you closed up the housing, the flow of water will be compromised resulting in higher TDS readings. Watch this quick video for more information.

If you live in a place that experiences winter, or need to store your pure water system for a considerable length of time, it is important to protect your RO Membrane. Simply mix up a batch of RO Gaurdian in water (or RV Antifreeze if your system will freeze during storage), pop the cap off and slowly pour the mixture over the RO Membrane. Close off your waste water valve, and let the water sit for the duration of storage.
You can discard all other filters and resin, as we recommend using fresh filters and resin in the spring. -
