About the World Enterprises Bucket Handle
This is a replacement bucket handle for the World Enterprises buckets. This bucket handle snaps into two outer holes on the bucket. It is constructed with a sturdy metal half-loop with bent edges to stay secure and a plastic outer piece, so it doesn't dig into your hands.
The World Enterprises Bucket handle is suitable really for any round 3.5-7 gallon bucket. You can bend the metal to suit your bucket size and carry with confidence.

What kind of weight load can they handle?
These can handle the typical weight load of at least a standard bucket being filled with water, which is 42lbs for standard 5-gallon buckets.

I have about 25 plastic kitty litter buckets. The handles are failing on them. These look like a good replacements, but since the current handles are kept in place by an interference fit, I'm afraid these wire ones will fall out of place. What is the diameter of the wire, if it is large enough it should work. Thanks.
The thickness of the wire on these is about .1 inches, or approximately 2.5mm. Depending on the type of hook there is to attach these, you could bend the ends to suit your needs. Without knowing what kind of buckets you are working with specifically, it is a little hard to answer whether or not these will work.

Tried putting a new wire handle on a 5 gallon bucket. One side was easy to slip on, the other side became problematic. How do you get the other side on?
