About the Cliche Chemicals Rust Remover

Use Cliche Chemicals Rust Remover on concrete, stucco, pool deck coatings, brick, and many other surfaces. Be sure to always test the spot on your substrate before applying to confirm the compatibility and strength of the chemical. Do this by adding 1 part Rust Remover to 3 parts water. Always add it slowly to the water to avoid splashing. Do not add it in reverse order. For concrete purposes, add a surface cleaner to a pressure washer, clean the area and allow it to dry completely. Using a pump sprayer, apply undiluted rust remover to the entire concrete pad to ensure the surface appearance remains even. If you are dealing with tough stains, you can brush in rust remover and may need to apply multiple coats by repeating the process allowing each coat to dry completely in-between applications. Surfaces other than concrete should always be tested before use. Apply water to the surface area before applying rust remover. Once you notice the stain is gone, rinse the area thoroughly. Do not allow it to dry on non-concrete surfaces.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • What removes rust stains from aluminum window frames without discoloration?

We would recommend referring to the F9 cookbook and workign with the F9 BARC product. Discoloration resulting from a product will depend heavily on the status of the screens themselves.

  • Can i use it in glass?

We would not suggest using this chemical on glass as it is formulated specifically for concrete and similar surfaces. We would suggest Diamond Magic  or  0000 Steel Wool to buff out rust stains on glass with caution.
