The 2000 International Window Cleaning Association (IWCA) finally arrived in this issue of the American Window Cleaner magazine. Keniston Can Do Windows' Chris Keniston covers the event at the Disneyland Hotel located in Anaheim, California. Keniston talks about the seminars, competitions, world records, and tons of other exclusive pieces of information.

Working with the media is a big responsibility. IWCA Public Relations chair Vickie Eubanks held the role of ensuring the latest convention would receive media attention. Eubanks goes into detail on her process of making phone calls, creating and sending press releases, and working with local publications.

The importance of strategic planning is emphasized by keynote speaker and Strategic Planning's Pete Johnson. Johnson lists his six steps of successful strategic planning and publisher Rich Fabry paraphrases the rest of his speech. We Wash Windows' Wes Minard gives examples of why setting up a satellite operation for your window cleaning business is essential to its evolution.
