When push comes to shove... Hail Mary!

Perhaps tools and technique are concerns for those who are newer, which seems to be the majority of late. Rarely do established ppl talk at length about such.

Seems to me there has also been a flood of new tools as of late.

The point is we see way more threads about tools and technique, or the hands on the job or equipment type posts than we do marketing and sales posts or the business side of things. The reality though is that the business side of things is really the most important part of our business. The hands on side will take care of itself over time.

Exactly. I think itā€™s because the hands on side is easier to master. It doesnā€™t require much thinking just practice. Itā€™s the business side, the planning, marketing and sales that takes some thinking and know how. This is the harder side and thatā€™s why this is the slide that separates those who are successfully and those who grow stagnation in their business.

Once we get the basics down the majority of our attention should be focused on the business side. Learning and implementing what we learn as well as planning and implementing our plans. Thatā€™s the execution. Thatā€™s where the real engine of our business is.

50% Off is huge, but that was the point. Itā€™s designed to get immediate attention and immediate response and commitment to schedule in an effort to put jobs on am empty schedule today! Anything less runs the risk of not getting an immediate response or a quick response but no commitment or the often ā€œIā€™ll think about itā€.

The key for me was adding ā€œlimited appointments availabeā€ in the add! That means I can choose when to shut it off. Itā€™s a pre installed control valve to shut it off right when I need to. I can turn it on when needed, fill the gaps in the schedule and shut it off when I have what I need.

It should be used sparingly as used to often it loses its punch. Itā€™s not a marketing approach for the long term but rather one to use in those short term moments when you really need it and for a short time. Itā€™s like jump starting your vehicle. No one wants to jump start your vehicle every time you want to go somewhere, but that doesnā€™t mean itā€™s pointless to keep jumper cables in the vehicle for when itā€™s needed. Because when itā€™s needed Thanks God for those cables! They can rally get us out of a jam and on our way.

The point is to jump start things and turn that jump start around back into a more permanent form of gaining new business.

I landed that 13000 Sq ft house today! I garuntee she will be a return customer and if not at full price at the most 20-25% Off which isnā€™t bad on this job. Most of the windows are plate glass and the landscape is easy. It should be a great money maker. She is looking for a regular window cleaner and she found one!

I have other jobs that size with similar discounts and I make over $500.00 a day off of them. Discount or not thatā€™s still good money. I have other jobs at full p ice that more than make up the difference as well.

I donā€™t mind giving discounts for the right jobs and customers. I will probably get other jobs off of her as well of similar size.

All in all the hail Mary did exactly what I wanted and expected it to do. Iā€™ll be keeping it in my back pocket for the future moments where I can pull it out!
