I am a pocket knife kinda guy, always had one for high-rise, guess I never got rid of it, works well.
I have used a paint can opener, also works well for digging stubborn dirt out of aluminum window tracks
Thanks for posting the picture Melody. Iāve tried every tool on this thread and thatās my favorite all around tool. I carry it in a leg pocket of my carpenter jeans.
PS
I wish I could see a picture of the putty knife with the end bent 1/4 inch. I wonder why itās better than a plain one?
I will post a pic soon!
Two views of my putty knife.
A claw hammer gets them out quick

Have now, developed a hand tool that will remove these particular screens.</SPAN>
And other similar screens. </SPAN>
Without bending damaging the screen and window frames.</SPAN>
With this tool you pull the screen out not pry it out.</SPAN>

I use a good old butter knife bend at the tip a little
Doesnāt get any more ācutting edgeā than that
I had run in with mill guard window screen and they are a pain is there a easy way to get them out
Thanks LOL
I use paint can openers to pop stubborn screens , works well for me and you can get 'em free from any hardware or home improvement store

Best tool ever for hard to remove screens
5 in one tool!
I keep a multi tool on my belt never know when its gonna come in handy plus I use it on most screens. Customers donāt like it when you pull off all their tabs.
Paint can opening tool. Free at your local hardware store. Mark where the screens go with a Sharpee marker.
Just yesterday, had a new guy working with me. Put him on screens and he put a few in backwards (tabs facing outside) so I took a small flat head screwdriver. Pushed upād on top of screen and that gave me enough room for small screwdriver, popped right out.All was good
Paint can tool for window screens. Sliders have adjustable rollers that can be loosened from the ends with a Phillips head screw driver then use a putty knife to get the rollers to clear the track. Put back on in reverse - putty knife to lift the rollers then screw driver to adjust tension.
