The Combinator

i wonder what the difficulty would be to add a swivel to the handle? Thats what i love about my wagtails  Dual-use wash and scrub from pole then flip to squeegee…If a possible swivel could be incorporated with the combinator that would be awesome too because i love the look of their tools…plus the liquidators are tearing up the total times on my jobs so this would be a great addition…until then its dogeared wagtails which replaced mop/squeegee exchange & straight pulls from a sorbo. A definite plus!

Nice mod @Guesty …hope your staying busy!

Been looking to upgrade all my gear and considering upgrading all to Moermann
I currently use a 0degree unger and swivel t bar for storefronts/commercial, and just a regular tbar and squeegee with brass channels for residential.
Looking into getting a screen washer as well…washing them with a soft bristle brush and then hosing down is getting a bit time consuming

I use a t-bar to scrub screens and a surgical towel wrapped around a fixi clamp and sponge to dry the screen. Also, I use the extra wet towels to clean off the edges of the screen frame. Takes a about a minute for an average sized screen; no sun drying needed. My solution is at standard dilution of denatured alcohol (Pink Mist 64, 1/4 cup per gallon), and about a tablespoon of regular strength dish soap per gallon. It dries really fast with the alcohol, and cleans really well. I only use about a half gallon for 10 screens. Saves time for me.

I find that using brushes, even soft ones, degrade the screen over time, but I’m all about the longevity of what I’m cleaning. A soft, very wet sleeve on a 12 inch t-bar does fine getting the whole screen clean. The rag or towel soaks up all the dirt and excess liquid, and works as a second scrub. Just make sure not to do circles, and follow the “grain” of the screen; i.e. back and forth, up and down.

Chris, what does the back file have on this tool? I would have thought this would be better because it’s lighter. Is there any draw backs vs the back flip?

I think the backflip is a must have tool for Storefront work. It’s super sturdy and is perfect for pole work. However, it’s on the heavier side compared to the combinator.
