Sunday night Frankenstein project

So right before I went to bed I had this idea:

Yes that’s duct tape! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is that holding a rinse bar in place?

Yes temporarily. Should hold long enough to see if it’s worth the hassle. I might drill some small holes for little zip ties, to hold it in place.

How does it work and what are the Jets from ?. This is something I have wanted to tryout.

@mandriva They’re the extra jets from my constructor brush. The rinse bar on the constructor allows to rinse with the brush on the glass. The brush in the pic is my beta Tucker hybrid brush with a pivoting gooseneck (from reach-it; items no longer available through Shop WCR). I’m going to test out if I can rinse with the hybrid brush on glass since the innermost bristles are boar’s hair.

I like how light weight this beta brush is, but I wasn’t happy with the rinsing using the pencil jets. The boar’s hair on my brush chokes out the weak pressured jets (something I believe was fixed with the final production hybrid brush). I’m hoping that the rinse bar will work as I really like the brush.

We did three houses today, but I didn’t bust out my WFP. Lately I have been really enjoying doing traditional work using my sectional ladder. I will probably test it tomorrow as we have a humongous home with French panes and we want to beat the afternoon thunderstorms.

I’ve been using this particular hybrid for the last two days and with the hydroblade upgrade and Side2Side? It’s a dream to use on initial cleans. New nylon end bristles are excellent on deeper frames as well.

I wouldn’t mind investing in a constructor brush it just seems like a lot of folks here are kinda down on the reach it line so it’s scared me off some.

Those new rinse bar are getting good reviews. Perhaps if they put them in the first place; they wouldn’t have burn their bridges with a lot of the suppliers. I still use their brushes a lot. I got the upgraded jets last year and they were better than the originals, but still had issues.

Well in all fairness the only rinse bar that had been around was that godawful piece of punched plastic tubing on Wagtails Jetstream. The original jets were fine if care was taken when setting them up and that of course was the major mis step. Most guys just want to buy something that works out of the packet. FOC wanted feedback and consensus on what was a major departure from the norm. The result was somewhat chaotic for those that weren’t of an experimental mind. The good news is that the current models with long awaited (yes I know many will say too long) new hydroblade are pretty darn good but of course no longer part of WCR or this community so really anyone wanting to find out about them needs to head to a ‘user friendly’ site.
