Some people are using this screen tool like a pry tool which it is not designed to do.
Most of the time it will be able to slip between the gap middle side of screen, push slightly up while pushing handle hook behind the screen so to pull out. (as shown in videos)
And some times may have to slide to the bottom of screen so to avoid bending screen.
But also know there are screens that are extremely tight.( been jammed in)
To be able to get the screen tool in suggest using a wide flat pry tool in the middle side of screen frame.

The only tool specifically designed to help you remove window screens.
This is not meant to be used as a prying tool.
You simply slip the tool along the side of the screen and then in behind the frame to assist you in popping out the window screen.
