Shawn Gavin's New Machine

Yeah…that wall mount unit is DOPE! I f i were to ever change my current set-up,i believe that would work like a champ.

What size tanks would you mount in your trucks?

Larry,

The beauty of this system is that you don’t need a holding tank.

It will produce enough water on demand to run the pole.

Simply mount these components in your vehicle or trailer and hook up hoses and your off.

I had assumed that Craig might use as a static system.

It has to be a great priced system for Craig to think about it w/ DI being so cheap in California. Kudos Shawn.

But, he always bitches about his high TDS…

Speaking of tds what’s it run in your area Larry?

Typically 75-125. My tap: 36.

Wow if mine ran that low I could be happy w/ one of Shawn’s DI carts. I run anywhere from 175(rare) to 300(also rare).

Lots of folks on well water here that are above the 125 mark. I’m still surveying and will make a purchasing decision after 1/1/08.

Even though the TDS in my area is high,i still get decent life out of my tanks.

With my 2nd rig i haven’t gone pure water with it yet,im still pondering how i want to go set-up wise! I will say the wall mount unit Shawn has would be a big time space saver for me.

I no doubt will hang my reels like my 1st rig so…not sure if that would make it difficult trying to plumb the wall unit model having adequate space to do so.

Yeah…i belly ache about my TDS from time to time,as its usually in the high 3’s to mid 4’s and have seen it as high as 600,of course…thats after the water being recently treated.

So…we’ll see? Any of you that haven’t gone pure water need to pull the trigger:D

Man 600???!!! How fast do you burn thru a tank at that rate? Or should I say how many tanks do you have to have w/ you on those jobs?

Surprisingly enough im not in this location (my town) all the time but…i think my tanks hold up well nevertheless. I do however run a dual tank ie:scrubber & polisher(alittle added insurance) in those high TDS area’s.

As a matter of fact just got done washing the rigs here TDS 581:eek: Yeah…you can chip teeth on this stuff:D

Folks in that area must need iron dentures.

No Doubt! It would be tough gumming steak:D

Yeah but w/ a good Texas brisket who needs teeth. Right bud?!

Oh man…you aint lying! That grub was off the hook buddy;)

I might have missed this, but does this unit come with the pole, brush, etc…? Forgive my ignorance, I am just learning about these systems.

Also, we do a lot of lake homes that we have to scrape (even after only six months) because of tree sap, spiders, etc… would a WFP really be able to clean windows like that?

Most units come without poles.Of course…most who go that route pick up the pole when they buy the unit.

You could always pick a unit & buy a pole separate.

As for them getting off tree pitch & other foreign matter i dont think it would do a stellar job.Maybe a pre-scrub & blading prior too?

If I have to get on a ladder to scrape, then what benefit is the WFP? I might as well clean the window while I’m up there.
