Hey Chris, how are you? I’m loving the book, lots of great ideas inside. I have a question though I bought the book because I’m a new business looking to grow, and I wanted to do it right, and after reading and listening to your story, I’m confident there’s no one better. The question refers to pricing. In your book you stated you used a promo 20 windows for 199, and than every window after that you charged $23.00. What was included in that price just cleaning inside and outside windows or did that price include in and out, screens, and deep cleaning of tracks etc?
Now if that package included all the items listed above (screens and tracks and windows) what would you say to a customer/ what would you lower your prices to if the customer said they didn’t want the screens or tracks cleaned? For example they just want the windows cleaned and not the screens or tracks. Or maybe screens and windows no tracks? Would you still honor the promo or would your pricing structure change.
The reason I said is I haven cleaned any houses yet but I have advertised and quoted a few. I used the 20 windows for 199.00. I told the customer it includes tracks and they told me they didn’t want tracks cleaned so I reduced the price after the 20 but I wasn’t sure the best way to handle it. The other house I quoted had 32 windows the home owner walked the house with me and pointed out 12 windows that she didn’t need cleaned. So that house went from 32 windows to 20. What would you have done in that scenario
Thanks
Brian
