Offered 40 store front accounts for 7k. Worth it?

You get my point though

I have never had 12 months of consistant work… last year we were atleast a week out from mid march until first part of december… but we do enough during that time to pay employees very well and live comfortable.

i get your point… and I am not saying you cant make it that way… but based on what I know… and thats all I can go off of… I think if you have that amount to invest in your business… there are better ways

Ok guys Im hearing some good stuff. But lets be clear I have no interest in spending 7k or doing a payment plan. I’m wondering if 3 or 4k is worth it. As far as investing elsewhere I believe in that fully. Buts its ongoing. Just looking to vet this opportunity. Have you had good results hand shaking with groups Kyle? My older competitors seem to have a few of those on lock. But my branding is better. Goes a long way. About to put up a great new website. But my old one has been #1 for “orlando window cleaning” for years. Working on other keywords now. Lost my maps ranking while I was rebranding (name change) but will get that back soon. I have a good presence elsewhere online but gotta get better. Experimenting with different mailers etc… contacting property managers. Like I said Im not desperate . We’re currently booked into June. But I’d like to get more small commercial routes and this seems to be a good start.

Yes, I couldnt put into words how important networking is to my company on both the commercial and residential sides

Sounds like you are on the right path

If the accounts aren’t contracted then there is nothing stopping you from paying them a visit on your own…

Once a value is established (3,4,7K, etc) how about paying a down payment then paying X percent of the monthly gross of each account for a year? That mitigates some of your risk of losing accounts and gives the seller incentive to ensure the continuity of the accounts.

So what are “you” going to do with this opportunity and the good information that was given, is the question now.

I would be curious what an average hourly rate for the jobs would be.

If he’s offering to sell… he’s in a rush.
It’s in his mindset, my bet is he’s already got the money spent.

I’m sure he has already offered it to several other people. He’s just waiting for a “sucker”.

Why do you feel someone will be a sucker if they bought his 40 accounts ?

How much time an work do you think it would take to land 40 accounts ?

I would agree that buying a fish operation/franchise is being suckered !

7K for 40 accounts is being suckered. If you don’t think so, sign up for home advisor and pay them for leads.

No contracts = no value in the business world. A contract is what would have given them value.

Home adviser an a established route are night an day

I’m not saying his work is worth 7k , but it’s worth somethings an if that was what I wanted i would buy an established route in a red hot minute then going through all that needs to be done to get it.

I would never give him the whiole amount of what was negated down . a percentage down, an the rest paid off over time 3-5 year amortization . you would make your down payment back fast the. The rest is profit. YES.

If you put a gaurntee in the contract what are you risking. Let me answer that for you. “NOTHING”

Have you ever had work subbed to you . It’s he same shit. Here is 2000 worth of work every month. Pay me 20 percent till its paid off only difference is your putting a down payment. Or something like that lol. The analogy is close

No one in their right mind is going to sell you their route for payments over 3-5 years.

If you want a loan, you go to the bank. If you want to buy a route, you pony up the money.

Buying a non contracted route is like buying magic beans. No one that has been in business long, will risk their money like that. You might, but you are the rare one that would.

IMO, the route is worth zero dollars. Others might see it differently. A non contracted route holds no value to anyone.
