Well…pretty close there Big Guy! Gana’s whole purpose to to “PROTECT” its members,even if…some of them are known to produce CRAP!
Thats why Gana’s hot on putting out a so-called cleaning BULLetin. To help protect & shield those who are not producing “good” quality heat treated glass!
They know & are very aware of the problem,dont think for a minute they dont!
We can’t expect “perfect” surface conditions all the time,but…some of the crap being produced is just peppered with fabricating debris,and totally unacceptable!
Funny thing is…it isn’t a problem with all fabricators just some.So why can some get it right & others dont? Simple housecleaning is the answer so easy but obviously a tall order for those that continue to deliever less then desirable heat treated glass!
Why is that funny – there are quality window cleaners and poor window cleaners; clean restaurants and dirty restaurants; universities with good reputations and those with bad; and on-and-on-and-on.

As for preaching to the choir yes! Its a continual thing those that have heard it before know but…it has to be repeated over & over because yes…there are always new folks unaware of the issue’s.
As for your analogies pretaining to WC’ers,Restaurants,schools etc. the one thing you forgot(which is typical) is…you have choices!!

My Apologies if…i got a bit chitty! My 2 main questions were if annealed glass was scratching(hypothetically speaking) would Gana be concerned,and…the other being Gana’s sole purpose.
Which seemed to puzzle you at first? Nevertheless…i’ll address the 1st my belief is no they would not be going to the lengths if indeed annealed glass was scratching.As to why quite simple it would be operator error ALL the way!
Not so with heat treated glass,they(Gana) are trying REAL hard to discourage the use of scrapers all together in ANY heat treated glass cleaning period which helps protect the less desirable fabricators.
They have tried numerous “other things” as well,a plastic scraper and Dan had a field day:D with that one,also…using only a #9 single edge blade which now…is even in question.
My 2nd question Gana’s sole purpose is to “Protect” there members nothing more nothing less! Sure the heat treated glass debacle is just 1 of many things Gana is involved with,but…its hotter then a firecracker right now!
With any association or organization sure… they cover a few to many different area’s but…its whats in the “Limelight” that counts right now!
