What are you guys doing to become the most sought after window cleaner/company in your area?

I’m the only Window Cleaning business in my area!

Just sucks that fish from 25 mikes out still comes in and works here. Oh well. They’re everywhere.

Offer amazing customer service and do every little thing to stay infront of customers and prospects…oh and clean some windows

I guess everyones strategy is to keep their strategy a secret. Lol. It’s not a bad strategy to have.

Still a work in progress for me, but i try to offer the professionalism of a large company with the personalized customer service only a small company can provide. And, of course, jaw-dropping results.

 I learned a lesson helping another guy break into the window cleaning industry. At the time, he was spinning his wheels, not getting near the business he needed.

So I helped him. Told him how I market, who I market too, and a run down of what I do and how I do it. Now, a year and a half later, the dude is trying to be a YouTube star, telling his “secrets” to others. They weren’t his marketing secrets…

So I don’t always say much, because when everyone is doing what you are, you start back a square one. In this industry, everyone starting out thinks a monkey can do what we do, and it hurts people legitimately growing a business. Like it’s been said, most don’t make it 5 years.

I don’t mind sharing what I know, but I am careful of who and where I share it.

That sucks man.

My number one secret, would be loving what I do.

People can tell if you really want to be there or not. And it reflects in your quality and proficiency of work, your professionalism, and your interactions with customers.

It also helps if you charge enough so that you really love what you do :money_mouth_face:

I’m not afraid of someone stealing this secret, because it isn’t something that’s easily replicated

Good deal man. Wise

I know exactly who my target market is right down to the person. Everything I do in my marketing materials, appearance, and communication is geared towards that type of person. I am always looking for ways to improve my connectivity, if you will, to that type of person.

Excellent point!..I think I work twice as hard as I ever did working for corporate America…But the fact that I am having an absolute BLAST building this business makes all the aches and long days worth the effort!..because when I reach my goals…it will be worth it!

thats an interesting point. i like to cultivate an image of the “friendly, approachable joe-soap guy” , by that i [and my workers] seek to blend in to our surroundings. we dont ever wear a uniform instead wear cheapjack mix n match clothes and always have time for a 5 minute light or heart to heart chat .it can look like we are bumbling along laughing and joking ,leaving immaculate windows in our wake
one side effect it has had is over the years several of my ex customers have took up as window cleaners in their own right- possibly because we have made it look so casually easy

but it doesnt ever work for them ! they instead go for a fanfare of publicity with the professional look [and show ME how its done properly] with higher prices to boot

failure has been within months for each and every one of them -because they havnt connected with the people - have no soul to their business- and thats what the job is really about

It’s really all about connecting with people. It you can do that the job of selling sells itself.

So in essence niche markets are cliche. Lol
