NewGuy n need some help

hey folks just bought commercial window cleaning business and noticed the coupler between poles iscracked. where do i find replacements?

tia

great site

Hello Mike. Welcome to this fine forum. Google Scaffold Sleeve Coupler (Edited 6:30AM) or Joint Pin. I did look. Did not see this exact one. You need pipe diameter, then go from there. Hopefully you might find it locally. If not, hurry up and wait. Maybe order more than one.

thanks

What brand is the pole? A picture showing the whole thing may help if you don’t know.

I’ll get a picture of the whole pole today. I didn’t see any name on the pole.

The gentleman I purchased it from couldn’t recall the name either.

Okay, I asked because it looks a lot like a Three-Star aka. “China Pole” from J. Racensteins which is based in CA and NJ. My friend has their pole. If it’s theirs, they should have replacement clamps for you. You may need to describe to them which section the clamp is on.

thanks for the help its this one. i had ordered from abc, thats partly how i found this place.

talked to someone very helpful today over the phone when he called about our delivery.

the person we bought the business from actually purchased from abc

what would be a similar or upgrade to this pole?

its still got life in it i think, but need to have a 2nd one.

we also have an older Aluminum Tucker pole but he said that one is brutal. so its set up for a small account we do with a deep
goose neck for awnings that are in the way

Best place to buy tools, wfp’s and pure water systems is here. Customer service is the best in the industry!

If you cant get a replacement…
Assuming the joiner is still sound apart from the crack…Take the poles out. Clean the crack with abrasive sheet and clean again with a spirit (alcohol but not Jack Daniels). Get some tubes or syringe of two pack epoxy resin (Araldite, Gorilla etc). Mix well and squeeze into the cracks. Cover with plastic sticky tape until dry. When dry sand smooth with abrasive sheet again. It will be as strong as new.

thankfully they have them in stock. i guess the style has changed a little but diameters are still the same.

good idea with the epoxy, i love epoxies.

heres a kitchen bar i built

Yes checkout https://waterfed.equipment/ Our Tucker carbon fiber poles come with aluminum clamps and have a lifetime warranty! Here’s a video about them: Tucker® clamps for carbon fiber poles - YouTube

Yes anything from ABC will typically last only one season. I speak from experience with them. Back when I had a window cleaning business; I unwittingly went with them when I started using WFP.

i apologize i thought this forum was sponsored by them, dont mean to step on any toes.

the pole im using is 5 years old so its lasted a while ive already earned pretty good on couple jobs.

yes i will check out your site though

No worries. That site I link is actually WCR’s. They created an exclusive site for our products. Stick around here it’s a great source of information. The advice I received here was invaluable to the business I had.

Check out this thread…

And @Trad-Man has a slick setup to reach high window with his excelerator and wfp, may he’ll share the video…

This will attach to euro style goosenecks and then a cone fitting can fit over it. You can then put on a scrubber or squeegee. Problem with swivel tools on cone tips is the tend to spin freely.

The reach around along with gooseneck comes with our brushes.

I used a dome head bolt threaded into a pilot-drilled euro-threaded pole cone attachment. I also bought a nut but the bolt ended up self tapping so it wasnt needed. This now screws onto any Eurothread pole tip. Another way is just to use the Unger cone. It rattles a bit but wont come off. If you have an NLite pole a coned tip is also available (see pic 2)
