haha you are adorable

Yeah, I’m not trying to challenge, or question…

I’m just saying… what AM I saying?

A lot of people say 'money doesn’t buy happiness.'
But when you have some, it takes THAT specific challenge in life, out of the way.

Meaning, if you’re hungry, and you’re trying to repair an argument you had with your wife.

 • having a bag of chips in your car helps.
 • now you are only worried about working out the argument.

One less thing…

And that’s MY fault.
-full responsibility.

I went too far, and didn’t mean to.

I tend to be a little more “loose” sometimes,
because I’m in a ‘just hanging out/talkin’ mode, here.

I totally agree with that. I’m just not letting the money “drive” me. I’m happy with the business I’ve garnered over the 2 years of its existence. What I get from this point on is a bonus. My referral business is crazy right now and keeps my schedule book full a month in advance consistently. I DO create an experience, and my finished product has my clients extremely satisfied. I do agree with your analogy too, except for her, it’s dark chocolate…lol

Totally understood. I love reading your posts when I’m in lurker mode.

I often wake up and think “I wish I would have STAYED in lurker mode, last night!”

I’m betting/hoping you understand…
My intentions are never bad, even when I seem nasty.

I really am a secretly nice guy, even while I’m busting chops. :o

LOL, I have no issues with you.

I updated some stuff on the site (changed location of WFP explanation, deleted counter, shored up some buttons). Let me know what you think now. I got rid of the lengthy corridor on the main page

Thank you. I get that a lot in the field

Oh, and your haircut is not up to industry standards. Shave those sideburns you hippie.

It does look better, just make sure you’re designing it for your audience. If you have older clients, make your fonts bold and use a darker font.

that website won’t help you. at all. i’m sure that sucks to hear, because you worked really hard on it and put a lot of thought into it. but it’s the truth.

if what you are going for is a boutique-style, exclusive, word-of-mouth, referral engine type of business that will keep you and maybe a helper or a wife busy and comfortable (and it sounds like that’s what you really want) , then just leave it at that. Maybe talk to Chad Provost Services. He’s got a similar thing going and is killing it.

no one, and i mean NO ONE, will look at that website and hire you based off what they see there. in fact, for those in your market who are searching for a new window cleaner, that website will most likely eliminate you from consideration. It’s not professional, focused or pretty enough. Sounds harsh, but that’s just how it works.

we’ve talked on the phone, Jason, and you know I’m not a jerk and am more than willing to help any way i can. I’m just trying to be straight with you bro. here’s something to think about: you could probably get anya curry to build you a dynamite one-page site for about $500 (don’t quote me on that, that’s a guesstimate) complete with backend seo and a blog you can update easily and frequently to help you rank on google. that might actually do something for you and eventually would pay for itself many times over.

if you want the perk that comes from a website, you can’t mail it in. it takes a LOT of work. either you do it, you pay someone else to do it, or you marry the two. and again, REALLY REALLY not trying to be a jerk here. it’s just the reality of the situation.

Hard shelled outside and marshmallow inside…Just saying!

Sorry dude - that website simply doesn’t work,… on a few different levels - but mostly because it looks awful on mobile devices.

I understand when you say your main priority is elsewhere - so is mine - but the better your website works, the better prices you’ll achieve & the less hours you’ll need to work,… so a good website can be a tool to help you reach your other goals too!

A pro website can cost as little as $29 a month & I guarantee its an investment that will pay for itself time & again.

I like it check mine out if you like millerwindowcleaning.com i paid $1200 for that i think yours has some nice wording any way what platform did you use ?

Ok, totally redesigned it. This is what I’m flying with for the winter.

Fixed #1. To be honest, I thought it was gone already, so thanks for the heads up!

#2 has also been updated

Speaking of crowd sourcing…has anyone ever done (and had it work) something as crazy as a “Donate to my business” button on their page?
