New California Cell Phone Law

Is it possible that we mostly only notice …

I asked if it was possible. Much different than if I asked if it was probable.

You’ve been riding that bike in traffic for years?

Not since I had my first son. (5 years ago.) I wanna live. But yeah, Commuted 60 miles a day.

What year is that bike you posted the pic of?

PM received.

Two Polariods.

Not internet stuff.

 1. Before the f4i (Fuel injected) came out. The f4i has two seperate seats instead if one long one.

I’ve had two bikes – 1983 GPz 550 and 1990 FZR600. Nothing currently (damn kids!), but I’ll cruise around on my brother’s Road King from time-to-time.

Staying on topic…

My bike is a 2004 F4i. 2001 to 2003 had the split seats.

Mine gets between 35 and 40 MPG. It is handy to make calls and check on jobs

I don’t… I grew up in Galveston. We had a beach house on the west end of the island. Maybe because it was private beach… dunno. I remember lots o’ drunken fools. Ofcourse they passed some ordinance here in Oklahoma about driving with cell phones and almost everytime I pass a cop he is driving and talking on his cell.

hmmm…

A study from researchers at the University of Utah, published in the summer 2006 issue of Human Factors, the quarterly journal of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, concludes that talking on a cellphone while driving is as dangerous as driving drunk, even if the phone is a hands-free model.

Seems to be a lot of inconclusive data, and diverse crunching of it, with this particular issue…seems a little extreme, sometimes.

Heres another interesting link from “Insurance Information Institute”, where I found the above quote:
