My website

yelp listing first then you, but interesting you too are farther down in google places.

Thats awesome that you’re number one! Not sure which one you are, but I’m getting Shiny as #1 there.

Not to shortchange that fact, but as a designer I have to look at other aspects to keep my clients happy.

Osprey is a town of 34500 with (from what I can tell) 2 other window cleaning companies within city limits. One of them has a website that expired long ago*

When you hit competitive markets, you have to step up the game. Cities like Minneapolis, New Orleans, Toronto, Phoenix have a ton of people vying for the same keyword, and its winner takes all. New Jersey (where i am) is the most competitive market in the county, and I can’t remember ever seeing a Wix site ranking here.

Whatever works for your market is right though.

  • The Siesta Key guy let their domain expire. Its at auction now for $1500+ dollars, but if you wait til November of 2017 you will probably be able to pick it up for the price of a regular domain, and 301 redirect it to yours. Collect their SEO juice, they are #1 in Places still, even without a website.

So I have tweaked my site a wee bit and have SSL, I’m on Google Maps, and seem to be on like page 2 or 3?
Not bad for a first stab at building on my own, although sure to attempt a Word Press soon as I have become somewhat familiar with this whole thing.

Looks clean. It will look even better once you get more photos of yourself and Schultz up there

Looks good, except on my desktop computer only the Blog and Services pages fit on the screen…the rest of the information on the right side runs off the side and can’t be read. The other pages fit great - maybe a tad off center?, but fit.

Site looks great for desktop! Unfortunately, it’s not mobile friendly.

Ugh. I knew it wasn’t mobile friendly. I just had it where it would work. I completely re-did everything this morning. Check it out and let me know what you guys think. Thanks @Garry too for your input.

On your blog page the first headline has a “widow” - one word broke onto a second line.

I really like the clean look of it. I noticed that you have your phone number at the bottom of the home page. Have you considered having it right at the top? Here’s a screenshot of our site. It has an two “call to actions”. Phone number and instant quote.

Another thing that caught my eye:

I moved some tags around, see if that fixed the issue with the CH logo. I added a “Call Now” feature in the menu, and added screens. My wife and I have have the same phones so it’s nice to have additional input. The issue with the logo didn’t appear on any of our devices.

Good suggestions guys, I appreciate the help.

So yesterday I got a call to do an office building (2 story) downtown. The lady said she found me on Google. Nice! She also said I charge more than the guy she talked to earlier in the day, but he couldn’t give her a consistent price, it kept changing. I start next week.
