You still haven’t explained how you remove debris that becomes trapped between the rubber and the glass, I’d honestly like to hear an alternative that is just as quick and easy.
If I’m using a squeegee with or without a pole of course I will tap to remove debris that leaves a trail.
My comment was meant as, how necessary is tapping because the video that kicked off the thread to me appeared he was searching for a spot to tap (when side poled the window) without touching the clean side of glass already squeegeed. Yes too small of window to squeegee but it was just he had to practice on.
