Mininvan advise

Hi all,

I’m currently working out of a dodge minivan. I would like to set it up with a small water tank…125 gal. or less. I want hose reels for the garden hose and the wfp. I would love to run two poles but, not feasible now. If anyone has some pics. of their minivan setup and is willing to share them with me. It would be greatly appreciated.

You can also PM me as well.
Thanks for taking the time to share and/or comment.

I want to get a tank for my van too but am thinking in the 80 gallon range. I don’t want to carry extra weight as I only get about 13 MPG.

Hi Morris,

Here’s a quick parts list off the top of my head:

Deep cycle marine battery and wiring/connectors/etc $100
Rectangular 50 gallon detailing or RV tank from amazon $100-$200
12v pump $60
3/8" 100’ pressure washing hose reel (without hose) $50
200-300 feet of 1/4" polyethylene air hose $125-$175
Assorted fittings, quick connects, etc $75-$100

I wouldn’t bother with a garden/supply hose reel unless you anticipate running out of water a lot. But that really shouldn’t happen on residential jobs where you’re doing a mix of indoor and outdoor work. 50 gallons should get you through a day of washing fairly easily.

Plan on taking a weekend or more to put it all together.

Let me know if you’ve got any other questions.

So I just ordered this tank for “4-slice” (our new vehicle)

I’ll let everyone know how it works out. I’m expecting it to be a snug fit, and I may even have to heat and reshape the corners
