Iām wishy washy on this whole home advisor thing. A fellow local business swears by them. Iām considering trying them for a short period to drive traffic while I grow & the fact as soon as the weather changed - my phone calls tanked off google and Iām slow as heck now.

I did a search a few minutes ago to see if JT Window Cleaning comes up in my areaā¦and they did. As mentioned earlier, I donāt think people would call a 800 number and think they are a locally owned company. Itās ashame they are misleading people.

I agree that this kind of misleading and dishonest advertising by hiding their true identity behind ghost companies is bad for the industry as a whole. Have you tried clicking on JT Window Cleaningās āContact Usā page? It says: āComing soonā¦ā Yeah, right.
So the question is, what can we do about it? Can we report them to Google/yahoo/Bing? Is there some sort of government watchdog agency that governs this kind of thing (like the FCC does for broadcasting?)
It really bugs me that I have spent money on my website and SEO, and now customers who would normally find my website are being sucked into SM/HA and I am now having to compete with 3 or 4 lowballers. It would be great if we could just make these guys go away. Any suggestions?
