It is phenomenally dishonest for them to represent themselves as local service providers. I will never give one cent to them or any similar dishonest companies.
They have not changed. I used them when they were Service Magic and everything in the description of the lawsuit is exactly what they did back then. They try different tactics these days by pretending to be a customer, before identifying themselves.
If they do get through to me, I usually hang up and use the iPhone block function.
One of the first calls we received for work was from them. I was an eager monkey, excited that someone would call with four customers wanting to use our services!.. then I looked them up, read about them on the forum. Fortunately we never signed up but did deal with several harrsssing calls for months.
Great info. Thanks for sharing. Just a little constructive critcism it is a little long winded. I think a short typed up version should be stickied here in the marketing section @Chris.
That is a great video. I am going to try that for the roof cleaning site these clowns use “riseaboveroofcleaning” in my area.
I have a question so I am going to hijack the thread (I’ll apologize to the guy who started the thread later)
Do these alternate sites count as a sort of landing page? So are they really spam? They are stuffing all kinds of crap and key words into the site and probably using a spinner type program for the wording to avoid repetition.
But how is it different than guys that do multiple sites and landing pages in all of our trades?
