Here is my supply list, thoughts?

I would like to begin by saying thank you WCR community. As a newbie in this industry you’ve all made the pangs of the beginners journey much more tolerable. Not sure what state I would be in now without you all. Earlier I posted a question about tips, tools and advice which has gotten many great responses- check out conversation here (Need some straight advice from you pros). With all that being said I plan to upgrade my set up. Before I tell you my current and (tentative) new shopping list, I want to make it clear that we are a Commercial Cleaning company first and currently clean windows for two restaurant locations twice a week. With so much being invested in the commercial cleaning side, I do not want window cleaning to be a giant investment at this stage if at all possible. Truthfully we agreed to this blindly thinking it would be easier. Now that we know its not we are looking to upgrade our equipment to provide a great service to our current clients. Here’s the current set up:

Ettore Professional 12" squegee
Ettore 10" Microfiber Sleeve
Ettore 5 feet pole
Dawn
Bucket

Here is the tentative shopping list for upgrading-

1.Surgical Towels
2. Unger Complete Ninja 18" (We have a Unger OptiLoc Extension Pole that we couldn’t return to our chemical supplier, should work right?)
3. Pulex Micro tiger sleeve 10" (I’m assuming we can use our Ettore 10" T-bar)
4.Dawn (1/4 Oz per Gallon of water)
5. Grade #0000 Steel wool (for the nasty finger prints)

Let’s here feedback. I provided a picture of what our locations pretty much look like with minor differences. Our climate is that of Ohio, so very cold and hot irregularly. Not sure if that info makes a difference- just thought I would provide it. I want to stay around $100 for this purchase- so be mindful. Let me know what you’d change, remove, add or keep. Thanks in advance!

*UPDATE our locations windows are not tinted

10" sleeve is way to small for glass panes that size.

Go with a minimum of a 18" swivel handle and sleeve and an 18" squeegee channel.

(Dont use steel wool on tinted glass)

The opti-loc works perfectly in the ninja handle.

And listen to @wcs a 10" sleeve will have you scrubbing all day on those windows. You want to be bing bang boom outta there. Despite being not quite double the length I think an 18" washer will be like 5 times faster.

Oops should Have found a better picture. The windows at our locations are not tinted. Thank you for the heads up! Do you have any specific product recommendations or will the 18" ninja work fine? I think it swivels. And I will get the 18" squeegee channel

Imo avoid the unger ninja; for beginners it leaves too much water. Perhaps get the ninja handle and a 24" sorbo channel for it. I like the quicksilver. That will be perfect for straight pulls, which are proly the best bet for starting. The brass you already have will be good for (mostly) everything else.

And, yes, the ninja handles fit the optiloc perfectly. So you might wanna get the ninja t-bar in 18" as was suggested above.

Here’s may recommendations for 18" or shorter.

Handle

Channel(s)

or

https://shopwindowcleaningresource.com/unger-s-channels.html

also get a zero degree handle

for sizes larger then 18" go with a sorbo quicksilver and the ninja swivel handle.

and for your T-bar go with…

Hope that helps Joshua.

Good luck out there.

Looks much better. Just making sure, but please make sure to buy an 18" channel, not just rubber. The channel will come with one piece of rubber anyway. With commercial, I’d personally go with an Unger Ninja Handle and an 18" Sorbo Quicksilver Channel, but an Ettore Contour Handle with an Ettore Stainless Steel (or Brass for me) in 18" should work as well. A pack of steel wool is cheap and very useful for non-tinted windows. Test it out on non-conspicuous area and use it liberally on wet surface to polish the glass. Hope everything goes well.
