Back in the old days when I used to hang out and talk with some of the icons of our industry I got a lot of interesting bits of info. Henry was one of the most interesting icons we had. I remember going to an inventors meet with him once, and visiting him at his factory down in Bridgeport. Then there was one day when I was giving a little talk down in NJ and he stole my hamburger. He was full of stories too. And told me about how he would give away squeegees when he traveled the world. He would find people with very unusual squeegees, some of them home made if you can imagine that. So he would give them a factory made Unger squeegee in exchange for what they had. Both of them thought it was a great exchange! I wonder whether the Unger family has any of those old squeegees Henry had acquired from his travels. We would love to see some pictures of them.
