Products that are based on microscopic and even nanoscopic diamond particles can easily give you a very strong edge over your competition! The real key to accomplishing this is twofold. First you must know precisely what diamond products to use for what purpose. Second you must;…

How much money is your average window cleaning company generating with this service?

How many even use this product?

What does competetitve edge mean to a customer base that is likely 5% or less of your revenue.

How much money/time do you put into that small piece and still be profitable?

It could be nothing or thousands depending on whether you are doing stain or scratch removal, or setting up for sealant application. Good sealant application always requires good preparation of even new glass. I like to carry a syringe of compound with me to touch up when doing new jobs. Stains or light scratches. Not many window cleaners are using diamond products. Probably the product Diamond Magic comes the closest. The competitive edge is the advantage of being able to remove stains especially from dark glass that no one else can. But again this is something we need to explain to the customer. It is part of our educating them. Kind of like “not” causing scratches because we can quickly identify surfaces that are very prone to scratching. Regarding your last question. I have pledged to do the research and find the products. And the cost of the products is really not that great. I have many questions I want to answer. Like are there diamond products out there that will make glass hydrophylic quicker than bronze wool? A product like that would be a real winner. This is what gets me excited. I don’t know yet where my imagination and these undiscovered products will take the window cleaning industry. And I definitely intend to use it in my own little business. Keep these questions coming jhans. I really do appreciate them. You know I have this very close friend. I trained him about ten years ago. Whenever I come up with a new idea he will flat out ask me what benefit it has. If nothing that he can see he doesn’t care. So it helps me to think more. It really is all about the question. Very few people ask the right ones or none at all.
