Emailing Proposals

Hey Brennon - did you get that job?

Did that slick estimate do some heavy-lifting for you?

Not yet, but this one did!

Cool.

I LOVE the “all of our clients are enrolled in our customer rewards program”.

That’s gold, man.

Creates an atmosphere of exclusivity and entitlement. Love it.

And I love the “FREE” references. I’m gonna copy those, too.

Thx.

Looking sharp Brennon

Congratulations on landing this gig.

A couple of questions I have for you regarding this approach for quoting.

[LIST=1]
[]Do you plan on using this approach on all quotes or only those worth a certain amount of $ and up?
[
]Are the customers home when you count the windows or do you specifically drive by when they’re not home so you can make your notes and go back to the office to prepare the proposal?

Brennon, I would add a sincere thanks for them contacting you. I like little personal touches like-

Thank you David for considering my company. I look forward to speaking with you again.

just a thought…

another thought

I don’t think I would waste space with a “referral” notice. You have not even got them to buy yet. I would hit them right after you do the job and you have proved yourself to them. (you also want to hit them in the peak of their satisfaction) Then I would send them a stand alone letter on the referral program.

I doubt they will look at your referral program and sign up because of it. Don’t look at it from your side, look at it from theirs. I just like to focus on getting them to give me money first… that is no easy task as I am very sure you know.

If they see no immediate benefit (as in they don’t even know if your service is any good) what good is the referral program before hand?

1 - The three quotes that I’ve given this way were all in response to a mailing I did 2 weeks ago tomorrow. These are all $750,000+ homes, so I’ll probably quote this way for all homes in this range. I have another quote to give tomorrow. I’ll probably have something pre-printed(still nice!) and do it all in one step.

2 - Each of the customers were not at home while I did these quotes. Well, the last one said he’s home all the time, so he may have been there, but I told him I’d be comming sometime soon, so I just gave a walk around without knocking.

I like that as well. I try and add something like that to the email that I send them to give them the unique url for their proposal.

I’m gonna copy those, too.

Well, you’ve sure earned it! P.S. I’ll let you know when my package arrives:D

Brennen. Congratulations! 4 responses already? That’s very positive.
In regards to the point about the referral program being mentioned up front, I like it because your in a way helping them to make up their mind that your already as good as hired. Your already the man for the job, and after you do their home they will be so excited to tell their friends. It’s as if they already committed mentally to your service.

Lunch sometime?

I’ll call you tomorrow.

I love what you’ve done with your estimate proposal. Can I ask you which program did you use to create such a nice look.

I used the full version of photoshop, but you can do the same thing with Photoshop Elements 5.0 or 6.0. You can find 5.0 for about $40.
