How is this better than an Unger Pad Holder? This looks lighter than the the unger pad hold, I am not sure if anyone can confirm this. I wish the unger pad holder was lighter. The Da-Components looks like it wastes a lot of bronze wool, half of the pad is folded back, this is a waste. Also, it doesn’t pivot. It looks like like they got a wfp brush, cut the bristles off and then picked up a couple bolts and wing nuts from the hardware store and made a tool. It doesn’t look like it has enough surface area to efficiently scrub a residential window, A wfp brush is small but at least it has splay, making the surface area bigger.

No offense but I could make a better tool than the Da-Components, my tool would be similar to the unger pad holder, it would have Velcro make pad changing faster. The unger pad holder is way cheaper too. Da-Components will change their design or another company will make the right improvements for a fraction of the price, mark my words.

Darren is a mate of mine and his pad/holder has been on sale here in the U.K. for months,I’ve not seen anyone critical of his tool before.

All of my points are valid, I don’t want to sound mean, I am just telling it like it is. It looks like a simple home DIY tool. Do you have to buy the big 6x9 pads? These pads cost more than the 4x9 pads. I use the 4x9 pads on my unger pad holder and every inch of the pad gets used. It looks like the manufacture wasn’t confident in a Velcro disign holding up over time so they went with the bolt and wing nuts instead. My unger Velcro has never failed me and I have used it a lot. I have been using my Unger pad holder for years indoor on upper storefronts. The unger holder can also hold microfiber pads to touch up any water spots from wfp.

Have you tried the DA components pad holder?

no

Its so funny you mentioned these points. I was thinking about them just as I was logging on. To me, it seems (1) expensive), (2)no pivot, (3) has low surface area coverage. I don’t know if anyone saw my post on another thread (the WFP accessories one) but I modded my WFP and added my unger pad holder on it. I think it was a way cheaper and possible better featured add-on.

The unger pad holder is only $16.14 lol.

With how DIY window cleaners are, I’m surprised a product is out on the market like this…

which angle adapter did you attach to the side2side?

I just used a Gardiner Reach Around Dual Tool adapter. I used the euro thread (black) part. I stabelized it with some washers (Since I needed a long screw to run through my attachments) and a screw to prevent any slippage when I’m applying a good deal of pressure.

I took off the b

Are you still using the original side2side bolt to hold the side2side together?
