Business Cards

Does anyone utilize some sort of a template on the back of your business cards to provide estimates? If so, can you provide a photo? I know I can always just hand write it in but I wanted to have a card that would have it printed on the back.

I present “written” estimtes via email, for the most part i do estimates and the prospect is not home at the time of the estimate.

More often than not I close my sales over the telephone once I’ve completed the onsite estimate. When I speak to the prospect initially I will ask for an email address if they would like to see everything in print. Plus, once you have an email address you can add them to your email contact list and stay in contact even if they don’t go with your quote right away.

I don’t ever write on a business card, personally it doesn’t seem that professional.

I write my estimates and my name, most managers ask me for it when I make my pitch. My next set of business cards I’m adding my name in the front and quote on the back. Right now all it says is “call now for a free quote” and the number. I went to a business seminar a while ago, and everybody was passed business cards and asked to turn it around at some point. The one that stood out was the only one with something on the back, it could have been anything but it sticks out and that’s what you want.

Interesting, I’ve never cared to look on the back of any business card I’ve ever been given.

I also don’t put my name on the cards, it has helped to create the image of a much larger company than what I am. I’ve had more than a handful of large contractors, clients, and referrals comment that my brand appears on a much larger scale than it actually is. I was also told that my website made it seem like I ran a multi-vehicle, large company… I took that down recently in order to re-do everything, I was getting bored with my site and felt it was time for a complete website overhaul to freshen it up ha

I’m still new so I can’t say what strategies are best but that’s why I didn’t put my name on the card too, for the reasons you mentioned. Many storefronts has been asking me if I’m local though, maybe they had window cleaners who disappeared and want someone consistent? It seems like there are many ways you can go with business cards. I’m just super excited store owners seem interested and asking for my name, etc, haha.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I’ll give it some more thought before I put
an estimate template on the back.

Thanks for the photo.

I havent transitioned all my stuff yet to the LLC, but this is the back of the new batch of cards coming in soon. I found it very handy to have a space on the back to write stuff down. Keep in mind, it’s a space to write stuff down for you or the customer! Could you imagine your customer using the back of your card to write something important down because it’s the only thing they could find at the time?
