They called me and then spammed me about 3 times. I think there company name is something else. I told them to F*** O**
Chris Iāve been getting emails for the last couple of weeks and havenāt responded because I havenāt seen anything on here about them or there products. Thanks for the heads up on this company.
i put him on blast on Facebook a few weeks ago. This was the responseā¦
I guess he didnt get the hint.
I got emails a lot too. The emails were annoying but if I judged a product by the email marketing alone I wouldnāt be using WCR as they send me something constantly, almost every day it seems even though I unsubscribed. I know Iām gonna keep buying from them anyhow. good product. I found no WCR references in the emails from the better software company and no evidence anywhere of a scam but I did their one on one demo session and saw a great product. I signed up yesterday. They gave me a great deal. If you want to know details pm me. I donāt want to sound like I work for them.
What about that response is confrontational? It seems completely polite and professional.
Iāve been contacted several times by these guys, but I donāt see what the big deal is. You guys telling me you donāt get periodic marketing material from a bajillion other companies? Heck, half of us use responsibid to do exactly the same thing. And whatās wrong with cold calling potential customers?
Why is it ok for us to bump our gums about hustling to get work, but when someone else does it we get all testy about it?
Donāt want to hear from them? JUST OPT OUT.
Sent from my iPad using Window Cleaning Resource mobile app
I canāt say Iāve ever been contacted by them, but I get calls daily, soā¦
Are these guys saying they are affiliated with WCR?
Or are they going the route of āI noticed you a WCR member?ā
If the latter, well you get what you give, and a lot of members jump to gain the SEO juice by posting links to their companies.
(which would explain why I havenāt hear from them.)
I understand Chrisās declaration, not wanting to be associated with this co.
- I see a lot of people for some reason griping āhowād they get my name/number?!?ā
(itās at the bottom of every post you make, genius)
If there was a website āPeopleLookingForWindowCleaners.comā
- weād all pretty much be paying attention to it.
Yeah, doesnāt seem like blasting back to me.
I havenāt received a phone call or email since.
Yeah, Iām with Caleb. I got a couple of emails from them, they did seem like they were partnering with WCR but I just ignored them and they let me alone.
Has anyone actually tried their product? HouseCall was all up in the forum for a while so I wouldnāt mind another one poking their head in and letting us know about their product. If they actually talk to Chris, maybe he can give us the skinny.
At the very least, itād be fun to see JfromtheD critique more software.
Actually, it should be true for most of us. Google has finally gone after āSharon, your local Google specialistā. Let me find the articleā¦
Oh yeah.
We should start a new section āJ Reviewās Stuff.ā
- lets see how many āWe gonna change the worldā vendors I can get to blackball me.
Iām actually really happy with Responsebidā¦
It does exactly what is advertisedā¦ Saves you time.
For the most part it gives a realistic starting point, where you can put the blame/onus on the customer.
āBased on what youāre telling meā this is somewhere around the price we charge.
- mark your prices up, to compensate, and offer a āself quoteā discount
- do a āweāll call to confirmā when we get there
- or just take the bid as is.
Iāve never had a reasonable responsibild that I couldnt talk my way into a job.
I DONT like that they open your account with extraās.
If anything, Iād get people used to the options/get comfortable and THEN open upgrades.
The current setup is more of a continual letdown.
Iād rather be happy with the software, and teased with upgradesā¦
Than to be told, āhere is everything, up front, and it only goes down from here.ā
what are some of the things you like about their software? how mobile is it?
if i remember right, you were a big fan of Upvise before (i may be mistaking you with someone else on thatā¦). What made you switch to this new software?
I still like upvise but itās not as customizable or scalable. Mostly though Itās not as promising. Upvise isnāt marketing strong towards service businesses and I get the sense that there is like 2 or 3 workers involved. Perhaps part time. Their roadmap is not very clear. Also they donāt do accounting as well or do payment processing either. For this stuff I have to use another program. The only thing upvise has over the BSC is their app. BSC has their app launch in February but until then the mobile version will do fine. I did a demo of their 2.0 version coming in a month and signed up for that. They are really pushing for growth and are trying to be an all in one software. 3.0 comes it in the spring. they seem to be more customizable than jobber or housecall and the plan I have is for unlimited users for about the same price as jobber. I signed up right now because of the black Friday deal. Otherwise the startup fee is killer.
Iāll give a thorough review of The better software company in a couple months.
any news on the better software company?
