Best window cleaning solution now here

That is not whats in the video, and it requires carrying a bucket. Sounds less efficient and still inconstant soap to water ratio from window to window.

That is EXACTLY what is meant in the video whether you see it that way or not and it IS more efficient otherwise I would not be doing it.

I used to use soap in the bucket for years then tried adding it to the washer and it provides much better glide for your squeegee and you use less of it for great slip. Only a couple of drops needed and lasts quite a while before more is needed. I leave the bucket in the van and use a bottle of clean water to wet the washer then apply the soap, takes about 30 seconds if your really worried about the time, and like i said lasts a good few windows before you need to add more. I can do a whole 3 bedroom house in the uk only applying the soap once.

I never said I was using a bucket. I said using a premixed solution in a bottle as you are however you are using 2 bottles 1 of straight soap and 1 of water. I combine the 2 into 1 bottle of premixed water and soap that is consistent on every pane of glass every application. I have used on the washer straight soap and I have personally found after 3-4 windows you can still keep going for another 4-5 before you NEED to re-wet but all these windows are progressively being soapier and soapier.

I currently use about 30ml of soap and 30 ml of GG4 per 5 liters of water which is mixed in a 5 liter soap bottle and sealed with a lid, then I pour from the 5L to a smaller bottle on my belt to apply to the washer or window.
This 5L mixed solution lasts about 20 or more houses many of the houses here have from 50-70 panes of glass which equates to 3 cents of soap and 8 cents of GG4 for 20 houses vs a bucket would be double per bucket.

I realize many people deal with an over soaped mix and prefer it due to having more slip. I find my mix has perfect glide and any errors will dry almost invisible (not that I have any of those)

I thought you were using Glisten instead of the GG?

You must have me confused with someone else.

Well great now I have to throw Glisten in the trash. All I wanted was to be like you.

BTW I’m not Steve-O the you tube guy :star_struck:

cheers bud, it’s a really nice solution to use.

@Alex or @Chris will you guys be carrying this soap in the store?

Looks like a thick soap similar to Dawn in that respect. Curious to know what the price was and how much you get for that price? Also does Moerman have an SDS on the product? Do you have a link to this?

Again thanx for the post Pete. I will be doing some articles in our trade mags about soaps. So I am always looking to learn. Will want to get some for experimental purposes. Maybe I should contact Moerman?
