My FiSH prices at roughly $1.50 per pane in/out.
@Jonathan31 Iām not sure you have been reading the replies. I donāt price lower than anyone in my market. We are generally the highest for route work in our area.
Most price at about $1.50 per pane for In/Out. Some probably lower and some higher. Donāt worry too much about what anyone else charges.
I usually charge a dollar per side for storefront so thats really not as low as I was made to believe. Im new at this so what do I know. My goals are different then others though. Im not really looking to maximize profit and make a ton of money I just want to work a day or two less a week. I just need to make about 600 a week.
Sounds like you are going to be fine. You should be able to do $600 in route work in 2-3 days; once you get real tight routes and cherry pick clients you may do it in 1 day.
Just donāt fall into the āour glass looks good can you come back in a month? Oh, and please check with us first.ā I forgotten who it was on here that said it, but we are not a meet and greet service.
What happens when some goober comes in and goobleās up 25-50% of your residential business?
We all would do the same thing, freak out then refocus and rebuild.
Storefront is no different than residential. There is a possibility that you get under priced or out serviced and the customer moves on, if you think your special and it canāt or wonāt happen to you then your sadly mistaken.
How do you survive that?
You build your business the same as you build residential business. You find and build your storefront route with clients that fit into your client criteria standards, you just donāt go out Willy nilly wasting time with clients that donāt fit in your plan.
Like @dgalkin said you cherry pick your clients. Thatās what we all should be doing. Like you said in the past in other posts time is our most precious commodity we have in this industry. Since there is no formal āstandard of doing businessā in regards to pricing in this industry.
I hope you see my point of view.
