Yes, our next phase will make it so that you can upload your own design, but I will inform our developers that we could auto-suggest the customer’s home as a template design in our postcard builder. Given the fact that we already geo-code addresses, we can secure a Google street-view of the customer’s home fairly easily. I will keep you posted with progress on this.

HouseCall Pro is now integrated with Google Calendar!!! We also have brand new “How To” tutorial videos on the web portal!!

You can already use HouseCall Pro on the iPad. When you download it, just do so as if it’s an iPhone app from your tablet. You will only be able to use it in portrait view, but that’s good enough for now. We are currently focusing on rolling out new features and integrations to make the product functionally better for now.

Just select “iPhone Only” on the top left of the app store and you’ll be able to find it.

anxiously awaiting answers to questions regarding housecall pro NOT housecall:

1. are any or all of the features usable in Canada?
2. if yes which ones are and are not
3. if not using the housecall side is the cc payment still available?
4. is there in fact a wcra discount- there is nothing on the wcrs discount list ?

Sorry for the delay. Roland is out of town and will not be available for a few days but I am happy to answer your questions.
1.None of our features are currently available in Canada, but this will most likely change soon.
2.When we do release in Canada, it will be a full product release, so all features will be available
3. CC payments will still be available even if you don’t use the HouseCall consumer app
4. WCRA discount will be announced early this week. You will be able to sign up through the WCRA custom HouseCall Page and lock in the discount for life.

Making our product available in another country takes a lot of time and work. We have to make sure we are within legal compliance and that we adhere to all other environmental sector requirements and there are many technical adjustments that need to be made (currency conversion, time zones, tax rates, etc, etc). Don’t worry though, we are working on it.

Ive been using the ap and love it for prices i mad a cusrom price that goes like this $150 for 20 windows $10 for each additional i use that for homes that have up to 40 windows and that works really good they get the confirmation and read that and 90% of the time they dont have any questions sometime they do and sometimes i lower the price oer additional window after seeing the home any way its been really pretty smooth for me. If its a huge home i go out and bid it then i use the custom quote option.
Any advice or inputt im totally open to hearing

wouild it be possible to have a pic of the home taken from the google maps and put on the post card that gets sent to the customer

for me its been the best thing i have ever done for staying on top of scheduling and its also helped me tremendously with fallow up post cards and emails well worth the investment

So I’ve been a HUGE proponent and advocate of housecall even had drinks with Roland and Rueben at the huge convention but I have to keep it real.

The estimate feature SUCKS why can’t attachments be added to estimates? I get it with $150 dollar window cleaning or carpet cleaning jobs but if your sending out $500+ estimates for big jobs like roof cleaning or large commercial jobs people need and want

it can go on and on depending on the job. A little piece of paper with a price isn’t gonna cut it. And I don’t want to send another email with those things because too many emails overwhelm people and they get confused.

One estimate needs to be sent with everything an estimate requires.

That said HouseCall overall blows away the other stuff out there and I’m in it to win it with you guys, it’s can’t be that hard to do.

I am with you 100% on this. Same goes for invoices. I’ve mentioned it several times to them and the say “it’s on the roadmap”.
Workaround for now would be to download the estimate as a pdf and combine it with other docs as a single pdf.

Also,
-no way to add multiple visits to the same job.

• the days in month view don’t scale up to display all jobs scheduled on the same day.
• no way to track daily scheduled revenue totals.

Agreed. I asked about that the other day when they called me asking me to give them favorable reviews. I still gave the reviews and I was told that attachments was a great idea and that my “vote” for that feature would be added. I wan to use the HCP estimates feature because of the accept/decline feature but being able to add attachments would be fantastic.

Service CEO had this feature and it was a nightmare to figure out and to try to make changes afterward. Personally if HCP had the feature I’d probably not use it unless they made it easy to use. Right now I schedule another job for a second visit so a “Copy Job” feature would be great for capturing all the information from the original job and just adding a date.

The job visit process is clunky in TCF and jobber too.

I’m going to experiment with creating new instances at the same location, creating a custom tag for each proj ft, and applying that tag to each instance to track the overall job. Like this:

The tagging feature is incredibly powerful and useful.
