3 reason why people use your sevice

Or if no good reasons. What are the major problems you solve for your clients?

  1. I don’t smell bad.
  2. I show up when I say I will.
  3. I treat my customers the way I would like to be treated.

I’m always early. No questions asked.

I always clean something they didn’t ask for because my OCD won’t let me leave something half finished. Like the other day I power washed an upper and lower driveway that was connected by a decent sized sidewalk. They didn’t ask for the sidewalk but it had black streaks and algae like the driveways. I wouldn’t clean the drives on my own home and leave the sidewalk that connected the two dirty. It’d keep me up at night. We wash a lot of dirty sheds. Takes 10 minutes.

Follow through and follow up. Calling the next day to find out if they’re still happy and ask if they’d have me do anything from the first phone call until that moment differently. People love that and even put that in some of our Google, HomeAdvisor, Angie’s List, etc reviews.

They need the job done right the first time.

They can’t do it themselves.

Several reasons, so I’ll list a few.
1 I am an actual PRO. Not just some Bob that flings water and dish soap on your window and leaves streaks. I conduct myself like a pro, and I offer services as a pro.
2 I have a license, insurance, and am LEGIT.
3 I can be trusted in your home, even it you are not there. No worries about your possessions coming up missing.
4 Without a doubt, I am going to give you better service than the competition.
5 When I make an appointment, I’m there.
6 Even though I cost more then the last guy, I’ll still be in business next year. With me, you don’t have to find a new guy every other year.

I only need 1 reason

Residential - I’m a stud. Women love me. They just can’t say no. I make the men laugh.

Commercial - I’m a stud. I bring in more business when people see me :yum::grin:.

But really… like every one else says; on time, professionalism, not pushy, go the extra mile and always be willing to go back if there’s any issues. Engage the customer, get them to feel that they and their property are safe in your hands.

New to the window cleaning business but I take everything I learned from installing glass over 12 years

A wise trade professional once said “A window cleaning expert can offer his clients only two (2) of the three (3) value propositions of - Highest Quality, Lowest Price, and Best Service - at the same time. The client can never have all three at once.” If the customer wants the Highest Quality, he / she will have to give up either Lowest Price, or Best Service. To be the “cheapest” window cleaner in our service area, corners MUST be cut somewhere. Lowest Price window cleaners simply cannot match our professionalism, quality, training, experience, and business ethics.

I also bring human values to the table, I treat my customers like other humans, not cattle. (Cash cows)

I have to disagree, it all depends on the your company’s needs and what you need in the end.
You can offer customers all three of those “value propositions” it just depends on your business blue print.

Different options sure. All at the same time? I’m not totally sure about that.

I worked for a concrete contractor back in the 90’s. He told me you could never have quality AND quantity.

I truely believe the tactful window cleaning artist is versed in blending the two together.

I’m entirely back and forth on the notion.

There are many different trains of thought on this subject.

My personal thought… I believe you can offer all three of those “value propositions” if you/business situation is setup for it properly.

Just to give a couple examples

  • you or your employees are skilled craftsman
  • your back-end (office) is a well oiled machine

There are many other things that play into it, but it can be done very successfully if done correctly.

Yeah, I’d also have to agree, you can’t have all three. No offense, but sometimes folks try to explain how, I just think it’s a cover. Not saying if you believe that, you are a sucky window cleaner. I just don’t believe in reality, you are really offering it like you think.

Cheap prices mean less time with customers and less time catching all those little details, striving for perfection. Unless you strive to make minimum wage, perhaps. This is also why I don’t marvel at guys that clean glass at 100 MPH. I personally feel if you can get a 2 story home done in 3-4 hours, you are about right. For me, it gives me enough time to keep quality, and service at maximum. I honestly don’t care about being price competitive or the cheaper price, on ANY work I do.

I also don’t go to Ponderosa for a steak either. I go to a steak house, where I am going to pay more than double what I would at a chain restaurant. I look for a better product and service, and I am willing to pay for it. My clients are the same.

The only way I could clean the glass any cheaper, would be to sacrifice the time spent on the glass and the time spent keeping clients happy.

Just my opinion…
