Cool but
#1 ur prob not going to be allowed to work on streets with grade schools
#2 ur gas bill is going to be larger than a payment and the fuel on a new small 4 cyl workhorse
Ok I am a little confused why canāt I work on a street with schools?
And my gas isnāt so bad in the van the engine has less that 40k and itās a small town most of my work is less than 5miles. Most is less than 2 from home. Lol
Well, yeah, if he tinted the windows dark, and left the paint unpolished with no lettering
Heāll probably get 12 or 13 mpg from this van. A compact work van might average 22 or 23. If he drives 1500 miles a month, thatās a difference in fuel cost of about $130 (@ $2.30/gal). Granted, my car payment is only $138 right now, but not many people can do that.
Iām a big fan of smaller work vehicles (and theyāre a huge hit with my more ecologically conscious customers). But I also believe in ārun what you brungā, and avoiding unnecessary debt. He can look into getting a nicer, more economical vehicle when the income from his business justifies it. JMHO.
Iām legit getting 27 hwy outta my transit connect and the payment + gas is cheaper(considerably)than gas alone on my previous vehicle an 05 tudra single cab long bed 6cyl. Reality of the tundra was 12mpg freeway
I can say gas wonāt be an issue and the money isnāt a problem either as on a busy day I may drive 10 miles. I will never have traffic to sit in and most of my gigs so far are less than a block a part or a mile sometimes. Also no one in this town will care about it being an old van as long as when I am done it looks professional and clean. I will get business on that aspect alone as the few guys in town have old beat up cars or trucks that smoke etc and they donāt wear uniforms etc. if I was in a big town I would probably do the same though as itās what I can afford and itās nonpayment. I will by a newer van when money justifies it. I would rather spend the money I have on marketing and insurance.
Hey there ANDY. I was wondering if you sent the email? I have not seen on coke trough
Well I got busy with another business and just now getting back to the van. Itās all cleaned up and running as I had to replace a water pump and a timing belt. Ready to order my pumps. I what gpm and psi rate is the best. I was thinking of going with 100 psi but seems the GPM is just barely over I want to order the pumps tonight.
