It will all come together for you in time. Good luck out there.

Appreciate it! If i can move tomorrow rofl. I did too many squats to count

I believe @wcs gave me the tip to add an angle adaptor to the pole, which can allow you to pole all the way to the ground.

I feel cleaning glass is usually the easy part. Screens can be super annoying, but eventually you get the knack of them and you get a lot faster with them.

Mega important.

Don’t worry… In several months you’ll be so much faster than now. When i started, everything was taking me double the time i thought it would.

Let’s do a reality check:

3.5 hrs X 60 minutes = 210 minutes
210 min / 25 (giant windows, screens off & on, lots of dirt) = 8.4 mins a window
   Not to shabby for a first time clean and your first time doing it. You should be very happy with that.

110 windows / 3 = 36,67 windows
2 hours X 60 = 120 minutes
120 minutes / 37 windows = 3.24 minutes per window
   Once again, not to shabby for a first time clean and your first time doing it. You should be very happy with that, too.

You have another 3-4hours of cleaning tomorrow. Now is the time to test straight pulls vs fanning.

Maybe you are regretting your price…
when your speed increases your price will look better…
maybe you can talk about an increase.

Is there a way to modify how the screens attach so you can get them on and off quicker? If you submit some pictures of how they attach maybe the forum can come up with something to help.

Drink plenty of room temperature water…Ice can work against your bodies ability to maintain proper core temperature. With excessive perspiration you need to replace minerals and electrolytes you are sweating out. No more than one large bottle of Gatorade per gallon and a half of water. Fresh fruit is very helpful. Eat bananas to help prevent cramping (potassium)

Don’t feel put down by today. You’ll learn from it and it’ll make you a better cleaner. I’m consistly learning and improving my technique. Everything comes with time. You just need to find motivation and stay positive.

@Dee yeah i drank a smoothie to start my day. Strawberry banana ha.
25 windows @ $35 taking 3.5 hours =$10/hr not bad.

I straight pull the top half. And fann the bottom half. Works well so far. Need a swivel for sure. Ill post pictures tomorrow when i go back to get paid

Sidenote: the ettore backflip is 20" or so and NOT 18". Tried to replace rubber…18" was too short

With practice he could shoot for a moderate pace of 45 seconds per. Fast would be in the 30 range. Less than 30 and you’re a well oiled machine.

@IronLionZion ill do better with windows that dont go to ground lol

Fact of life in the commercial world

@BaBz one trick I’ve learned for dealing with temperatures… Phoenix AZ was 117 here today. Wear an undershirt that matches your exterior shirt. Short sleeve for short sleeve- long for long.
Wearing or not wearing wicking material depends on humidity. In low humidity, you want to keep that sweat as long as possible. The undershirt soaks it up and the outside shirt slows evaporation. You actually feel cool under the outer shirt once you’ve got a sweat going.
I use the same technique on pretty much all lower Windows and when standing up I wipe my right knee with my sill rag every time. Knee pads are too much to me. Makes you look desperate for customers if ya follow…

Wore a sleeveless underarmor shirt under my tshirt. I was sweating so much i took t-shirt off for last 4 windows…got that. I was soaked head to toe (literally) ha starting earlier may be a good idea also

Wow :smirk: Why not just wear one of these? It’s pretty professional.

Hahahhah yeah no. I rather go shirtless lol

@BaBz

Brenton that’s very un-professional to do no matter how hot you get.
If you want your customers plus everyone one else that saw you do that to respect you don’t do thing like that.

If I saw a guy do that, I would never hire him again no matter how good the work was.

Just trying to help. When your offering a service you need to be professional from the beginning to the end of the transaction.
