$100,000

It’s nice to see how people have progressed.

I have to agree here. I have a system which involves a $25 dollar Visa Gift card if their referral spends at least $99 dollars. And I ask them on our end of job survey to put down 3 people they know that could use our services.

So who ever dug up this thread like read my freaking mind…

I just dropped my kid off at the airport so he could go see his momma for xmas… Driving back to Oro Valley from Sky Harbor airport I was in deep meditiation on my short term goals, etc…

Tangent:
I have recently started reading again as a result of this forum… I wish I would have chosen “Scaling Up” vs. the repetitive sell you a coaching program “Great By Choice” but whatever… Going down to the local book swap meet to get the other one anyway.

So… The numbers in my head were a bit ambitious by the standards of this thread…

I was thinking now that my broken leg has pretty much almost healed… I can work my butt off and I just ordered some new equipment so I can potentially run three poles with what I already have right now and what I ordered. So now it’s time to make it rain bitches!

I don’t care about my bet with my son… I think I won on a technicality, but it’s not completely over yet… Anyway,So… After I return from my festivities… I plan on dropping $5k first month on various marketing…

During the festivities I am putting final touches on automated hiring, vetting, and back-checking staff on front and back end. Including classroom training process with testing and certifications for each task or variable of task. Technician or sales rep cannot move to next level of training without having full and complete knowledge of the process.

Upon completion of rigorous training schedule plus learning customer service expectations and “how to properly address” your typical “Situations”, blah blah blah… whatever…

So I have enough dough I can make sure I put food on my table as a single father… I need/want $200K in 5 Months until the resi season ends here for monsoons and haboobs… whatever…

What Say You?

@Chris if I take $5k per month for marketing… Can I make $200k in 5 months using only things available right here as the result of one Seth Godin TED talk? What I mean is right here… Within our own tribe…

Albeit I did accidentally pick up a Ion Grafter POS pole somewhere else… I plan on taking a WCRA membership and tools bought right here in our own community using some insane printing discounts from our tribes insane buying power.

@Alex I tried so hard to beat a free WCRA membership out as part of that deal… You suck for not doing it. But I respect your spine my friend. The value is immense and the price is a steal.

I want to prove how valuable this community is! So I am willing to throw $5k per month to see if it does… are you?

I would settle for $100k in 5 months.

While cruising down the highway I was thinking to myself… “Self, You can do anything you want to. You always have good bad or indifferent. Don’t think. Just do.”

I don’t necessarily mean anything more than the recently discovered by me concept of the “20 mile march”

I just mean do something.

So now my ADD moment is over… I am going to advise you if you are reading this and you live in my service area. I love and respect all window cleaners. There is a lot of glass out there. No reason to not be cool. Just saying… But if you live in my area, I do have an aggressive media plan.

I won’t be taking from the professionals… I won’t be taking from those that treat their clients well. I am not afraid to walk away from money based on principle. I did it when I moved here thanks to Kevin’s Rules on his forum about geo location etc…

Anyway… I am ready to accept the $100K WCRA Ice Bucket Challenge. You guys think it will work? Should I throw more down on marketing? What say you?

Glad to hear your feeling better… scary shit, man.

If you do $5000 buck/mo, I would assume… no, HOPE you would get $20k/mo.

Curious as to starting date, meaning your expectation of the first 20 to hit.
And moreso, when are you putting things into play, to SEE that first month to payoff?

Is this making sense? I talk better than I type.
Say you want an April payoff, are you saturating Feb and Mar?

Come to think of it… which 5 months are we talking about?!?

Jan 1.

No real lead up to a “Grand Opening” or anything like that… I was going to do a pre launch to create buzz. Then I thought… Nah…

I think I will just do it.

I understand if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I have a Business Plan.

The Plan is. Sign up for WCRA and see how much money I can make from New Years Day until my son gets out of school for summer May 21st I believe. My Goal is $200K only spending $5k per month on marketing. A brand new to the area business. Just see what happens.

From today 12/21/15… well, actually from last Friday… until Jan 4th. 2016 Louie Palos will cease and desist working in my business and start working on it.

blah… I have been 29 for so long… I just skipped right to 40. Don’t see me doing too many more business ventures before going back into semi-retirement. Just need to make a few bucks first. So let’s see what happens…

@Louie_the_Window_Guy big goals I love it. Can you tell me a little bit about your area? What’s median income In your service area?

I’m assuming you are chalking up January as a ‘Wash?’

  • because you are about a week out.

My name is Dave and I own a window cleaning business that has doubled, then doubled again all in the last 2 years! I went from $200k to $400k to $800k from 2013 to today. I did it 100% with SEO for my website. I have literally spend $0 in Advertising over the last 3 years and now I’ve moved my window cleaning business into a warehouse with 3 offices and 8 trucks. I did all the SEO myself and LOVE helping other window cleaners. I do have a masters degree in SEO, so contact me if you want the recipe I used. You can use a traditional SEO company, and they will charge you monthly til the day you die, and keep stringing you along, or you can get it from me. (The guy who actually enjoys helping window cleaners) My business is in a HUGE window cleaning market with literally 1,000+ window cleaners, and my phone NEVER stops ringing! Think what I can do for your town or city!

Before you start selling your “SEO services” as a SEO “master”, you might want to create and claim a Google Places listing…

You don’t have one.

hmmmm, i have to carefully consider my response to this.
i used hatch my first year and switched to this service last spring.
i have not enjoyed the same growth, in fact absolutely no growth from the web. dave you did show me numbers that indicate a significant rise in traffic but my leads from the web have gone down and the cost has gone up dramatically.
the web used to be a barely break even deal and is now a definite loss for me.
i want to make sure i stick to straight facts here, i am at this point still a customer and am trying to determine what to do for the 2016 season.
there was another post here last year singing daves praises which is how and why i started with him. i have messaged that poster to see what his actual results have been, i know he said he got great ranking but i am wondering how much business.

I have a client who used Hatch. He hated it as well. SEO is no quick fix. it takes time and patience. Most people do not have the patience, but hands down it works. I’ve not paid for a single advertisement in over 3 years. Mr. Squeegee Ninja in NJ, laugh at me all you want, I simply like helping and educating other window cleaners. SEO 101 is not having a Google Places Page (There is So Much More to SEO) I don’t get into arguing with people on forums. Notice I put my phone #, so feel free to call me. I’ve got nothing but a giving heart to help others. Happy Holidays & I like the Kermit de Frog  Very Nice!

i am not sure if you are referring to me or not but i was a hatch customer and i am currently with you.
I NEVER said i hated hatch. i said i wasn’t using it the way it was supposed to be used and you said i was paying too much. my first bill from you was $820 usd and then 300 USD per month. and i get no business at all now.
you may like to help but have not done anything to educate me and i have paid enough in 6 months to cover a full year of hatch OR with the amount of business i received scrap the web and keep the dough.
you may not have paid for an ad but i have paid you and so will anyone else who uses your service so i don’t think you should be making it sound like your doing this out of the goodness of your heart. i enjoy window cleaning but it is a business the same as your seo service.

I just shot you an email. Let me know what you think.

seo is only half the equation when it comes to a successful web presence.

how are your organic search results? is your site ranking in the top 4 or 5 listings for your key search strings? if so, and you still aren’t getting traction, then maybe your site is the culprit. if it’s not designed to funnel sales, then a high rank may not matter so much.

that’s why hatch is a pretty good deal- the site itself is designed to take incoming visitors and turn them into money spending customers.

to put it simply: if your seo is great but your site doesn’t sell for you, then you lose. if your site sells great but your seo sucks, then you lose. you have to be on point on both sides of the coin.

Just want to add that “right” is relative, and an opinion at best.

Red doesn’t speak to me, but blue does… click

A bit extreme of an example, but I’m sure it happens.

thanks dave, your email that sounds very interesting and i look forward to a chat after christmas.

Hi Dave

I want to make sure I understand this right. You’re saying that from seo alone your business went from 400k to 800k gross in one year?

Crhis,
A LOT of hard work, some great relationships, and a few lucky breaks in picking up new contracts with some construction cleaning and High-Rise contracts. Yes. I have not spend a single dime on Google AdWords, Print material, Yelp Ads, or other kind of advertising. 100% organic calls from my Google listings in the cities I service.
