About the XERO Chloramine Reducing Filter - 2.5 x 10

Use the 0.5 Microns, XERO Chloramine Reducing Filter to reduce chloramine, chlorine, and odor creating pure water. These carbon blocks are made with NSF-certified components of high purity Coconut Shell Activated Carbon and are ideal for point-of-use and Reverse Osmosis application. Great for displacing traditional Granular Activated Carbon and Powdered Activated Carbon filters in applications where high chlorine reduction is needed. They do not exhibit problems such as channeling, fluidizing, bypassing, and the release of carbon fines. Efficient and effective for removing sediments, color, SOCs (soluble organic compounds), VOCs (volatile organic compounds), dioxin, insecticides, pesticides, and industrial solvents.

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • How does this compare to the one that Tucker sells? Will it work in their Fill - N- Go system?

These filters are non-proprietary and are compatible with any 10" housing. Their performance will depend on the water you are filtering.

  • It fits on the Xero Pure Max?

Yes; the XERO Chloramine Reducing Filter can replace your carbon filter if you are battling chloramines in your water.

  • HOw long should this be effective?

Hi Bruce! Depending on how often you work with your system, we recommend swapping these out for fresh every 1-2 months, just like a standard carbon filter.

  • Is this a Catalytic Carbon filter to remove chloramines? Or is this just an active carbon? Thanks

This sure is! Catalytic Carbon is what is used to combat Chloramines in your source water.

  • Is this meant to be used in place of your carbon filter, or in addition to?

Hi there, Billy! Thank you for reaching out to WCR. The WCR Chloramine Reducing Filter is meant to be used in place of your carbon filter.
