About the Petzl ASAP 40 KIT

The ASAP KIT is a pre-assembled, ready-to-use fall-arrest system built around the Petzl ASAP mobile fall arrester. Each kit includes a Petzl ASAP fall arrester, a Petzl ASAP'SORBER energy absorber (40 cm), and two Petzl Bm'D TRIACT-LOCK carabiners with a CAPTIV positioning bar.

The ASAP fall arrester stops falls and uncontrolled descents exceeding two meters per second, and blocks on the rope even if grabbed during the fall. It works on vertical, horizontal, or angled rope, is compatible with 11 mm (0.43 in) rope, and moves freely up or down without any manual operation. It can also be installed or removed at any point along the rope. The ASAP'SORBER then absorbs the impact of the fall, working alongside the ASAP to bring the user safely to a stop.
