About the F9 Efflorescence & Calcium Remover
This breakthrough in the restoration and cleaning industry is a user-friendly, full 31.45% strength muriatic acid replacement that works better with less harmful effects. Quickly remove efflorescence, calcium, calcium carbonate, and hard water stains on concrete, masonry, stucco, shingles, glass, synthetic stone, anodized aluminum, unpolished marble, and more. It can be used to etch concrete at stronger ratios or as a general cleaner at diluted ratios.
This product combines a buffered, pleasant-smelling acid along with excellent soaping capability. F9 Calcium and Efflorescence Remover gives the user the advantage of a full-strength product while greatly reducing corrosion and fuming, with 95% fewer fumes than full-strength HCL Acid, thereby improving the overall health and safety risk profile.
This one gallon of F9 Efflorescence and Calcium Remover covers 200-400' of porous masonry and up to 1,200' of sealed or non-porous masonry. Application rates will vary depending on the amount of staining, the porosity of the substrate, and if the surface was sealed. When new and unopened, this product has a shelf life of up to two years. Once opened, that shelf life gets cut in half to approximately one year.
How to Use F9 Efflorescence & Calcium Remover:
- Pre-clean the surface, if necessary.
- Mix the F9 EFFLO solution. Always add acid to water, NOT water to acid.

- Spray product on the surface, let it dwell for 20 seconds to 3 minutes.

It definitely can help with that if you have a calcium buildup on brick. However we highly suggest determining what sort of buildup you are trying to remove before applying this product. If you would like to discuss with one of our product specialists, you can send some images of the affected area to hello@windowcleaningresource.com and we'll be able to make the best suggestion for you.

Not diluted, yes, and we would suggest not using this around plants. If you must use this around plants, we suggest watering thoroughly, wetting the plants down, and again, watering thoroughly.
-
Can this be used indoors
It definitely can be, but you want to make sure you are using the proper dilution and althought it has a lower fume rate than comparable products, we always suggest making sure you are in a well ventilated area. Also keep in mind which surface you are planning to clean as this is not suitable for polished or glazed surfaces, NOT for use on metallic or other synthetic coatings or films. Do not use on acrylic and polycarbonate sheet glazing. Always perform a test to ensure compatibility.
