About the Chemitek Metal Oxide Removal Agent

The Chemitek Metal Oxide Removal Agent is a specialized cleaning solution expertly designed to tackle the persistent issue of metal oxides on photovoltaic (PV) modules. This product is engineered to remove stubborn contaminants like rust, aluminum oxide, and iron oxide without causing damage to the delicate components of solar modules, including the anti-reflective coating, silicone seals, and aluminum frames. With rigorous testing conducted by TÜV Sud, this powerful agent not only rejuvenates your solar installations but also ensures their long-term integrity.

Features

The Chemitek Metal Oxide Removal Agent stands out for its effective formulation tailored to the unique requirements of PV modules and tiles. This concentrated solution requires dilution with water before application, making it versatile for different cleaning methods, including manual brushing, water-fed poles, electric rotary brushes, and robotic systems. Its ability to penetrate and dissolve metal oxides means that professionals can achieve impressive results without the need for scrapping modules, thus saving time and costs. Additionally, its biodegradable nature makes it an environmentally conscious choice for solar maintenance.

Benefits

The Metal Oxide Removal Agent simplifies the challenging task of removing difficult metal oxides that traditional cleaning methods often fail to address. By reacting with metal oxide particles, it effectively loosens contaminants for easy removal. This product is specifically developed for use on PV modules and tiles, ensuring that no damage occurs to sensitive components during cleaning. Additionally, it's eco-friendly and biodegradable.

Product Directions

Dilution ratio: Dilute the product in water at an initial ratio of 1:10 (1 kg of solution to 10 liters of water), adjusting as necessary based on the severity of contamination.

  1. Dilute the solution with water.
  2. Ensure that the modules are dry before application to maximize effectiveness. Spray the diluted solution over the affected areas, covering the entire surface.
  3. Brush the surface and allow the agent to react with the metal oxides, adjusting the reaction time according to the level of contamination.
  4. Finally, use a brush to thoroughly rinse the surface with clean water, removing any excess product and loosened oxides.
***For optimal protection, consider applying an antistatic coating immediately after cleaning.

Chemitek Metal Oxide Removal Agent has a shelf life of three years unopened, six months after opening, and should be used within 48 hours of dilution for best results.

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • Hi, We have some automatic car wash wall panels that have developed a film over. We’ve tried power washing and some type of chemical but it just won’t clean up. Due to the color, I think it may be caused from Iron. Do you have a product that works well for Iron deposits? The panels are made out of plastic, I think. Thanks

Great question! So we typically recommend using F9 Barc for iron and rust stains. Since you are working with plastic, we would HIGHLY recommend downloading the F9 Cookbook from your app store and reference the correct application.
