Zero detailing Unger ninja!

Didn’t you have a mod like this a while back? Except it was a sorbo I believe.

Yes I did in fact did many different videos modifications relating to dog earing squeegee channels.
Which one do you want to see.:grinning:

I’ve seen all of them

Just thought you’d answer your own question. Sure the dogear will wear down the rubber but the results are probably worth it!

OK here are some videos showing it no necessary to band the ends forward.
All you need to do is have the ends slightly higher on the channel squeegee wise you get the same result.

This puts a slight more pressure on the corners which means when working on frames with flat laying seals the rubber of the squeegee stays down and doesn’t lift up and over the window seal giving you 100%detail free work. To minimise rubber wear you add the detergent to the applicator giving maximum slip and minimum friction. End result detail free windows and rubber that doesn’t get chewed up in a few days.

If you take the dog ear/ bent forward out of the equation.
You will find that it will do the same thing.
Easier glide very little drag on the glass.
Not wearing squeegee rubber as quick at the ends.
As seen in the videos.

If you are getting drag your not applying detergent to the applicator so your solution setup is not great. I don’t get drag as the solution is a good consistency and gives great glide. If your not getting that try adding the soap to your mop you’ll get better results. Look pal at the end of the day what I’ve shown is just a reminder of one possible way of doing things that was not invented by me I’m just showing people a possible method to get there squeegees to zero detail. There is always more ways of doing the same thing. There are always guys that like to be negative , nit pick or just argue about the smallest point or methods, your obviously one of them so conversation with yourself is over. Have a nice day pal.

So have you tried the dog eared straighten?
Would think not by the way you are going on about using more soap etc.
Try it with the dog ear straighten as in our videos.
See the different to when bent forward.

Here is video playlist put together many ways to dog ear modify ends of squeegee channels to have less detailing.
CHECK IT OUT.

I didn’t understand that can you type a bit clearer

Yeah the way you’ve done it works fine too, either way end result… zero detailing happy frick’n days

What’s the problem ?
Just showing you other way to do things.
Seemed as though you did not know of these.
Like you just trying to help.
Near enough not always good enough.
There always a better way to do something.

Sad sad man

Shame some people take constructive criticism; personally start attacking people that are in actual fact tying to help them.
You learn from trail and error.
Must say we are not exempt from this ether.
Made hundreds videos on many different ideas relating to window cleaning.
Had many fails had few that half worked?
When you put any video up you can expect people to question your ideas.
Most people will do it to help with your ideas.
Anyway my 2 cents worth.

Mate you chipped in with “my idea is better” what the hell did you expect. Your miles behind my techniques as a window cleaner. You’ve put to much effort into chasing me round about this ridiculous conversation. I’ve asked around about you and been told your an argumentative old so n so. Go do something productive, nobody cares about this but you. Have you no life that you put so much effort in pursuing this over not one but two forums? I really feel sorry for you that you must have a really empty life to care so much about how i dogear a squeegee HAHA pathetic

Just to log a historic point…

Herman Wieland @HE_MAN and Chris Dawber (Wagga) were posting youtube videos on dog earing over 5 years ago. Just search on Youtube and the videos are still there. We can learn from them.

Their work inspired Bob Hatt to work on a factory-made alternative with Moerman.

I never debated the fact either wagga or wieland had interesting videos back in the day, my point is that Mr wieland is constantly harassing both on this forum and others. I’ve had information that Mr wieland likes to argue and is “always right” even though his apparently dogeared channels still leave a mess which his wife follows behind to clean up his sloppy work. That info is from others that know him well. Like i say he had good info back in the day but times change and move on. His methods are caveman compared to what polz n blades and i can achieve along with many others that are willing to learn the new methods and reach a new skill level. You see Mr wieland doing nice easy windows and not showing the mess around the sides. Whereas bobs vids and mine show very difficult trad work that is only archived with the best tools on the market and precision skills.

All good steve, this all started because mr wieland didn’t agree with my method which is fine but i do recall showing the tool being used up close with absolutely zero detailing so all in all a perfect tool so I’ve no idea what the ol man is crying about as the tool works perfectly

I will be making no further comments on this topic as it’s been a bit of a waste of time. Onwards and upwards folks

Yes Mr McKay you should not say anything more.
As your immaturity show’s though in your replies.
Looking not seeing, Hearing (not Listening: Ability to accurately receive and interpret in communication.)
This you will get when older or as you put it sad old man it goes around.

says the looney job that follows me over different forums, havent you got something to do like make a mess on some windows somewhere? ta ta
