Why so few people using Gutter Vacs over here

How would i post 20 pictures on here in 1 go or do they need to be done separately ?

Interesting. Very interested!!

This is the pole lifting from the ground at about 45 ft enough for a 4 story building only about 7 lbs

Great pics and video Bill. Thanks for the information. I’m going to do that asap.

Hi Phil,

You can get all the stuff at a local home hardware or diy center if you are only going to do low stuff
If you want to go high ( over 3 floors its worth getting the good stuff)
Makes your work day faster and more profitable.

Bill

Yeah I’m only doing 2 story max. Thanks

Where can this be found?

2" ABS is available in 10-foot lengths for ~$10 at HD or Lowe’s.

Thanks for those who posted in this thread… most of all Bill.
I’ve been eyeballing it for about a week now, and I think I can do this.

Hopefully I can reciprocate with an idea sometime…

There is a learning curve just like switching to the wfp but 1 good job pays for the whole set up.
Get a dvr and wireless camera and cut the cleaning time in half.

Bill

With a gutter vac system if you have one with a blower port you can easily prove the downspouts are clear. Place a penny in the hose, connect to the blower port and shoot the penny up the hose and if it comes out the downspout hey presto clear spout! You will hear it too if the downspout is connected to the drains. I have chatted a lot with Bill and can vouch he’s a great guy …

Good call w/ the penny trick…

How will you clean packed down mud out of the rain gutter? That vac is garbage

Hey Bill, what wireless camera, dvr, and screen has worked good for you? I’m interested in putting one of these systems together. I have an SL2 sitting in my back yard in perfect shape, doing nothing. And I’ve just been given my first gutter cleaning job. The house is only 1 high story though, so I may not even use the SL2 (keep it in great shape instead) and just get some ABS from HD. I’d definitely want to be able to see what I was doing from the ground with a CCTV system.

I bought a DVR & camera last year and shared the details with Bill … Mine had a 2.5" screen and the alleged wireless camera needed to be plugged in so I bought a separate camera, I think a bigger screen would be easier.

This unit covers all 3.5" screen and wireless camera Wireless SPY Inspection camera with 3.5" Screen SPY DVR | eBay

I use a pipe clamp (with a strip of foam lining the inside to grip the pole)
2 in. PVC Conduit Clamps (5-Pack)-E977JCR-CTN at The Home Depot I gorilla glued it to the back of the DVR

For the camera I was taping it to the top of the pole but have since found a neat pipe hanger that will make a nice clamp

Good luck Shawn

I don’t think I would ever have my gutters cleaned this way! Unless you run water through the gutters and make sure the downspouts are un clogged you’re not doing any good. You could do the best job in the world cleaning those gutters but if the downspouts don’t flow you didn’t do any good. I believe all gutter should also be visually inspected which of course means using a ladder… there are always short cuts in this business but they always are not as good as the real thing… like the water fed pole system it is not as good as being face to face with that window…

For those who wanted to see pictures of it.

All it is is a wet and dry vacuum cleaner with light weight aluminium poles with a baby camera.

Vacuum cost £280,00 (3000w) Poles cost £225,00 (32ft) Wireless video Cam cost £73,00.

This is pretty cheap to what some people are selling this equipment for. The stuff already out there it just been marketed in a different way.

You can easily make your money back from this 3/4 jobs and your in profit.
