On the north facing windows in Northern California, I noticed these poop-like splatters stuck on the glass. Some of the homeowners thought it was bird poop, others think it’s bee / insect poop. What ever it “is/was”, it was difficult to remove. I didn’t use a razor; though I probably could have, I just used wool. Well, I don’t ever remember having to “hand-sand technique” something so much since wood shop in high school. Well I did remove it without scratching the windows, but should’ve definitely spent more time during the estimate to adjust cost for it. I did however get a decent tip out of it, so it evened out I guess.
Do you know what it is?
where in norcal?
East San Jose.
if its yellow my understanding is bee droppings
when its baked on over time/temperature its a bear to remove or at least a 2 step process of blade and wool
wpole’s nemesis

Thanks for the poop info!
Looks like bug poop
Dwell time with solution will soften it for easier work…then you may have chem. run down. Catch 22. Nice outcome…yer a pro. Just another day at the office.

I used to always think it was some kind of bug poop but sounds like artillery fungus. Especially since you say it’s on the north side.

That’s definitely not artillery fungus, those are tiny round black dots that get blasted from old, wet mulch in humid climates. I’ve certainly seen my fair share.
