What is ABC Selling? Seems like garbage

I’ve used an ABC cart when it first came out, the NXT 4.0 (STAY AWAY!!). It cost me thousands in repairs and it even blew up once on the job. You can not change the RO membrane which isn’t that big of a deal but it could save you a couple hundred dollars every few years to just change the membrane insert instead of the entire housing and insert. My hf5 is still going strong as a replacement almost 3 years later. The biggest flaw in some of these carts especially the ABC cart is that you can not refill the DI or the Carbon or the RO membrane without replacing the entire housing costing hundreds of dollars at a time because they charge around $100 each and the DI only lasts a month or two if youre using it often with high TDS, rather than $10 to refill your own housing with a big bag of mixed bed resin.

Anyway enough of my 2 cents look at this of the abc website is this a joke? or a misprint?

FILTRATION: Click for Replacements
1 RO - WF2CR0-40 is the filter in the very front of the cart, in which the water begins the purification process.

1 DI - WF2420-DI lasts very long and is the biggest filter in this system.

1 Carbon/Sediment - WF2210-CF is the final and smallest filter, scrubbing anyway anything that might possibly be left in the water after running through the other two filters.

LOL they say that the carbon sediment is saved for the end after the RO has been exposed to chlorine which is NOT GOOD AT ALL AND RUINS THE EXPENSIVE RO MEMBRANE.

Can someone explain to me if this a new way of doing things or are they just plain stupid?

Am I missing something?

Ps. I’m in the market for a new system and I’m thinking of building my own because I can’t find one that I like that isn’t way overpriced or impractical based on my needs. I would probably go with RHG or SIMPOLE. Phil’s system is good and he is a mad scientists. I have one of his systems. But he isn’t very organized and you have to know exactly what you want otherwise you might be spinning your wheels. Fortunately I really like his system but even it has flaws. The RHG is basically the same thing only more heavy duty but also much more expensive. If you’re looking for the best value and your a beginner with high tds I really like the RHG but if you can problem solve and have a lot of experience my system I got from Phil is a lifesaver and its very lightweight and cool looking. The ABC system is not designed well at all and may seem cheap but costs $$$ in the long run.

There isn’t a whole lot of money in supplying these systems so they are all way overpriced except for Simpole but he’s a mad scientist working out of his garage. If you put a gun to my head and told me I had to buy the best value right now it would be Simpole, if you said by me the best unit and money is no issue I would say RHG and if you said which one is garbage I’d say read the thing about ABC and stay away.

after some shopping that H2 PRO looks legit, it might be my next system! I know i’m going to get banned for promoting phil’s stuff but I do like that simpole he has some good stuff too.

Brian does not have any thing to do with window cleaning anymore.
He is into things that actually make him a lot more money!
He deliver’s motor cycles now locally.

i got the zero pure in 2014 when it was called the wash it pro no regrets at all.
because of the name change search wash-it pro for comments on this forum, lots of info.

@jaren long time no see.

The Xero Pure or the Tucker are your best bet and they are both very honest systems. No hidden costs, you don’t have to buy “our” carbon filters or DI filters, both are cheap to replace / refill. Even the ROs for these systems are only about $350 and with the frequent changing of the cheap carbon filter the RO will last quite a long time.

Have a look at this video where you can see both the Tucker and the Xero Pure side by side.

As for building your own system, I see people every day say that they can build a better system for cheaper… Maybe, a big maybe with some guidance. The time spend sourcing parts, trips to the plumbing store to get fittings, getting more fittings because you got the wrong fittings, hooking things up wrong and fouling a membrane. Time is money, get something brand new out of the box that just works and comes with a warranty is a no brainier for someone who wants to get to work and make money. My 2 cents.

Anybody uses abc Enterprise 5 Stage Electric WaterFed® Pure Water System?

Enterprise has been on the market for some time. It’s a beast and very heavy. If you need to run multiple poles it may be and option but the Hydrocart electric or gas is a much lighter and more efficient system. Now if you are needing a one pole system as said before the Xero Pure is the best system for you. Cost effective and user friendly and non proprietary filters. Customer service 24/7 and I know that unit inside and out. Best Water Fed Pole & System XERO PURE & XERO ULTIMATE - YouTube

To be honest the two systems are not comparable.

How did the recommendation for the Zero Pure come in to play when the systems are not at the same level,

The Hydro Cart was offered as a comparison from what I can see.

The Xero Pure was simply mentioned several times earlier in the thread and put out there as an inexpensive option. But you’re correct, they Enterprise and Xero Pure are in different classes.

The XERO Pure is just the little brother to the IPC cart range.

We sell XERO Pures 20 - 1 over IPC Carts simply because they are way overkill for your average 2-3 man operation.

When someone stumbles across the Enterprise or the IPC machines they sometimes think they need a system that large - but in the vast majority of cases they can get by with a smaller system like the XERO pure.

John,
When you say that its a beast, you mean the weight or that its a good machine?
Besides the weight, any serious drawbacks?
