What do you think of this ladder set up?

I have heard people talk about all the TIME they are saving now that they own a set of sectionals. This has to be true or they wouldn’t be saying it on the forums. I have never used extension ladders as a window cleaner but I have used them. Can’t speak from my own experience. Can anybody here say that their sectional ladders are saving them TIME and therefore money. If they save TIME they literally pay for themselves. I know we can all get by without them because hundreds of window cleaners get ALL their work done without them, probably thousands.

That picture freaks me out!

I would have my extension with stand off in the middle and probably place my ladder and hit a lot more than what I could with that sectional

Yah your better than that you shouldn’t have a problem I would just ignore that concern. Never mind the fact that you could easily be paralyzed or even die from falling those are just old wives tales. I only wish I had half your wisdom. I would be so much further ahead. And to think I have been wasting the last 16 years taking precautions, how stupid was I. Just disregard my comment Mike your just fine doing things your way. Besides even if what I said has any merit, you’ve had plenty of good years who cares about the rest of your life anyway right

I’ve been borrowing a set of sectionals from a friend for the last week or so, and it’s definitely saved some time on jobs. Particularly on interior ladder work, setup and take-down is much easier than the little junker. And I haven’t even had the benefit of using a pointed top yet.

Wishing there was an unlike button right about now.

Now your talking Mike.

Looks good Mike, how come you don’t pole the storefront window ?

Can’t wait to see your WFP cart Jesse, otherwise for this thread. “You pays your money and you makes your choice.”

How many times did you move your ladder to get those top four windows done?

Man thats awsome! Where did u get it, is the bottom portion notched for added sextions or does it have feet?

This is all we use. Much easier access than Ext Ladder with stand-off.

Pull the base out another 12". Hold the ladder at the base and rotate it clockwise so that the ladder position is orientated at 45 degrees to the building. And I like the other observation regarding the wires, that on this particular window, set up on the right side and clean with left hand.

On all ladder work : Slow down - Think Through - Be safe !!

i would have placed it in the middle and done both top windows…broken it down to do the middle ones and then the lower windows… love my sectional ladders

Waterfed pole.

LOOKS GOOD TO ME, that placement is no stranger to me. I love my little “V” groove at the top of my head piece. I’ve never felt “shaky” up to 4 full pieces (with a 8 foot big head)-- anything over 4 pieces I don’t do (not safe to do either, not worth falling for a few hundred dollars when a few hundred thousand is your medical bill)

I love my stack ladder, although I find it most useful for interior stuff and hard to reach nooks and crannies outside. For interior work, it’s nice to have a ladder that is easy to move around. I find standard extension ladders a bit cumbersome for residential interiors. In the end, mitigating all risks is the most important job of any window cleaning professional. No matter how experienced one is, Murphy’s law is a reality. The easier a ladder is to move around the interior of a home, the less the likelihood of property damage. While liability insurance is a necessity, it’s never good to be in a position where you have to use it.
