I pretty much subsisted on route work and single-story homes this whole summer, and my WFP didn’t get used very much at all, which got me thinking…
If you know your WFP system is going to be sitting around for any extended period of time, how do you store it so as to prevent mold, mildew and the like? Also, do resin and other filtration elements degrade appreciably during long periods of inactivity?
Get some of that stuff for the RO then if you don’t put the other stuff in the DI resin, just plan on tossing it out. Replacement resin is pretty cheap.
Or you could flush the system every two weeks like the manual supposedly says.
Then you need the RO protect so you do not get what we call flowering on
the RO membrane. Just keep the RO wet and have RO protect in the water and
you will be good.
