WFP brush plumbing mod

Wanted to throw up a picture of a mod I did this morning. Loving the new clear dual trim from FoC, but honestly not a fan of the Sam Johnson fitting. So I simplified. I wish I had another T fitting instead of the Y- I would have put it directly between the other two T’s. I think I got this idea from Jeff Brimble or someone else on one of the UK forums.

Oh, I also drilled out the tiny pencil jets that came with this brush. Much better flow now

You probably actually get better flow from the y shape…90 degree bends cut down on flow, and I have to say the y looks pretty sweet! Nice job

Thanks :). I actually found a spare Tee. I’m not really worried about flow- I’ve got plenty. I really like not having anything near the lever for the whack adaptor.

Nice! I don’t like it hitting the adapter either. So what do you like best about that new brush? That’s the first one I’ve seen.

Just a heads up…those outside bends are too short; those fittings will start leaking because the o-ring seal is getting distorted.

Hmm, I noticed how it was kinking, but I hadn’t considered the o-rings. I’m going to switch out to a softer tubing and see if it will work better. If not, I’ll try and find some 90° elbows to make the turn

Maybe you could cut off a short section of rhino tube and use that? It’s pretty flexible.

I love how colorful it is…

I’m striving to make my, personal poles/brushes as gaudy as possible.
(not saying your is gaudy, just thinking out loud)

I use Rhino hose as jet connectors or all of my brushes. Perfect, really flexible and reduces flex on the jets and nuts in the brush block. Superb brush by the way, one of my favourites.

Fixed!

And added some strain relief:

Nice mod Alex! How does the brush itself perform?

Thanks!

It’s a good quality brush. Doesn’t perform miracles or anything, but it has quite a bit of scrubbing power for a monofilament. The stiffer bristles are noisy when they touch the glass. Nice and lightweight, as well. Looking forward to see what Perry has for us next

Nice!

@Infinity is this brush still working for you? I really like the way you set up the tubing. Very thoughtful of you.
I thought I was smart with my setup… back to the drawing board LoL!

I reconfigured it back to 2 jets after one of the jets broke. The plumbing was holding up fine to that point, though.

What fitting did you use to get the T in the middle jet ends?

I found some cheap plastic barb fittings on Amazon, I think (3/16"). IIRC, I trimmed them shorter with a razor to get the tubing as close to the jets as possible.

Ok thanks.
