Website Priorities

First here’s our website: www.crystalvistawc.com

So I’m having a little trouble prioritizing content. I feel like I don’t have too much content but I believe I’m starting to push it a little. How have you prioritized your content?
Reason I bring this up is I need to add some serious reviews to front page, like maybe a scrolling slideshow of reviews. Also will be adding a chat widget. But currently on my front page I have slideshow w/ intro, 3 buttons that branch off to other pages, a video, and a promotion for window cleaning. Is this too much crap? Should some be put on other pages? Doing some analytics I see most people just look at the first page so spacing out content may get missed by most people?

Humm, I know @SqueegeeNinjaNJ is going to say it: might want to use wordpress. Looking at the source code, wix has added a buttlload of extra code up in there. Really weird.

  1. You really need a responsive template so people can see it on their phone.

  2. The front page looks pretty good. The customer factor contact form looks pretty old, a native contact form would look better. I know it integrates with tcf and puts the contact into the db, but unless it’s super convenient, I’d go for looks over the function. Plus it’s using an iframe and I hate those - personal preference.

  3. On the how to clean windows page, I’d probably crop or remove the picture of you straddling the aframe. Sure we all do it, but it’s not exactly osha safe.

  4. I’m not sure about the tragic story on the gutter page. It might be better to just mention that people have fallen and died.

  5. I’m not sure why your information section is broken up with spans and h6’s. That’s really strange.

I would probably put some testimonials on the front page, you could do a slider or just a masonry style.

Maybe also section off the pages. For the front page: Header section, Information section, Testimonial section, Misc, Contact. For sub pages: Header, Info, Misc

Also, be sure you add alt tags to all the images - wix is adding some weirdness up on those.

Eh, just in general smooth out the flow a little better. You’ve got good content, it just needs to suck people in and bring the sweet sweet flow.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write that out @JaredAI. I agree with a lot, I feel like I’m close. I agree the CF form is cumbersome and kinda old fashioned and wish I could edit it a little. I love how the info go straight into my database tho so I will put up w the strange button until Steve presents other options.

Can you kill that gradient?

The 75 year old guy dying while gutter cleaning was not a good thing, but does not seem to fit in with your content flow.

Decent site for sure. Wordpress is your solution

It’s a story most people in my area can relate to because he’s an ex-packer legend in Packer country. Most people actually know the story without it even being on there and I’ve received comments from some about it.
I will agree there is a small level of amateurish to it but it adds some personality.

I added that years ago and then added it to all my mail pieces and propaganda but it only remains on website, I have grown tired of it tho I think I’ll dump it. Thanks
