We need a national storefront average pane price!

Thanks. Im going to bid tommorow on a waffle house for once a week. For larger windows do you up the price .50 cents or a dollar each side?

I price everything I do per pain (pane) of glass inside and out.

Commercial/store front is $2.00 per pane single side only is, if they want outside only i usually just politely cut it in half to $1.00 each , however my minimum is always $20. I almost always charge an initial cleaning price equal to the invoice price. Ex. If there are 50 panes and that want both sides, i charge $100, be it weekly, bi weekly, etc etc. Past monthly and the price goes up 25% + initial clean of $100 due to the filth/lack of proper cleaning. = $200 first time cleaning. (This is exactly what I did to both round table and Ace hardware)

Others have been 14 panes = $30 initial cleaning is $60 with all others being $30. Only people who donā€™t respect my career offer me less and I have been walking.

Iā€™ve noticed the average seems to be between 1.75-2.50 per pane both sidesā€¦ So I love my prices. I book 75% of my jobsā€¦ Seems Fair. Any more and Im too cheap, any less and im too expensive! IMHO!!

Just remember any breakfast type places you have to be there real early. So price accordingly. Also blinds might have to get pulled up there might be booths that have to jump up An down off of, So ya price it a little higher than normal.

Remember you can only handle so many morning stops , so make them worth your while.

Yes you are very correct, sorry I forgot to add. I charge $3 per pane side that has instructions that cause me delay. Such as moving tables. (At round table Iā€™m able to walk the entire banister to reach every window. So Iā€™m not even slowed down.

As long as I earn $50 an hour I am truest happy. My average is $75 an hour so I feel happy with my life. Iā€™m not even rushed most the time, I figure as long as I can relax, listen to music, not be pressured, do an amazing job, and make minimum $40 an hour. Iā€™m doing great. Even with my overhead. I get to spend so much more time with my wife and kids!
Oh sorry I ranted again. My apologies.

This is all just my opinion, thank you.

Yup. Cuzā€™ I look at a houseā€¦this will take me 2 days, because I have to move stuff from window sills, the stuff off the desk, lift the blinds, remove the curtains, pull out the furnitureā€¦and put all the crap back to clean your 40 windows inside and out. Thatā€™s why I am charging you $800 for two days work. Not 5 dollars a window.

You know this thread is about storefront, not residential glassā€¦

Prices donā€™t compare.

Still same concept. I avoid telling potential customers a price per anything.
I just give them the price 20 a month 60 amonth whatever.
I do the same for residential. To many variables to me , no reason to state that in your estimate. Nobody has ever given me a problem about it.
Yes people have called , or walked up ,an asked how much per window do you charge
I jace a long answer for that. I also know the last guy charged that way. So no way your comparing me to him.

I understand that Mike.

My reply was for @Loveglass he was talking about residentail pricing , it doesnā€™t compare to route pricing.

I charge based on what I think it should cost. The best way I would say is I charge whatever I want to charge. I charged a small end dunkin donuts place $40 and the manager was like ā€œyouā€™re too expensive!ā€ Now I have them booked for next week.

OK so price this job out and Iā€™ll tell what I chargeā€¦ hereā€™s the scopeā€¦ manager wants outs done, and doors monthly, there is an interior area that only gets cleaned quarterly and as far as insides we only do whatā€™s needed ā€œkid artworkā€ however I get them on service calls. And thereā€™s a Wendyā€™s next door and on 3 occasions Iā€™ve been called on a service call to remove sticky frosty handprints.

I charged more for the first initial cleaning as I do with all my storefronts, and then itā€™s maintenance mode. Manager wants it done biweekly but says corporate only allows monthly.

My price for my area is
$160 for initial
$120 for quarterly entrance and exterior
And $85 for exterior with a few focal point inside panes that need maintenance.
Services calls are set at $55 minimum.

This is my only storefront that has this many variables I assume due to chains of command.
So what would be your local price in your area for this scope?

P.S. Iā€™ve already mentioned that as of June my monthly maintenance price will be going up to 100 and all stated prices above will be going up 15 and the response was OK I will discuss it with so and soā€¦

I had a service call on this particular job 3 days after I vlwaned the exteriors from the pressure washing guys that came through. And there was a lot of over spray I chargedonā€™t 115 for the service no questions.
I like this account but itā€™s so up and down with the maintenance and the ā€œchain of commandā€ on pricing.

However this account landed me 11 other storesā€¦ so whatā€™s your price?

50 outside only, based on what Iā€™m seeing in the pics (Iā€™m into a bottle of scotch due to allergies, so I may be missing something).

Take 30 minutes to do. Everything else would factor off of that.
