WCR Member vehicles and setups

We haven’t advertised for the past 8- 10 years so vehicle advertising isn’t an interest really anyways just kind of a thing to do.

The calls for aggressive driving were from me in the vehicle, my wife would receive the call being she works the office.

Plenty of reasons not to letter the vehicle.

I took the lettering off my vehicle cause it got me a lot of calls from tire-kickers, many of whom I suspect were other window cleaners, and a low % converted to good paying work.

I don’t make a habit of driving like a maniac, but there will always be that one person who doesn’t like something you do and immediately retaliates with a negative Google review. So I think that’s a fine reason to eschew the lettering as well.

I still wouldn’t discourage any new business from trying it, but rather advise to keep it simple and assess the real result before going hog-wild with anything expensive like a full wrap.

Five years with a wrap. One phone call form my driving, An I’m not the slowest driver to say the least
So ya it will happen , but that shouldn’t be a discouragement from getting one. Nor should be the cost

Did you really have a competitor leave a bad review. If so what where you able to do about it ?
Btw what ever losers dirt bag does something like that is a J/O

No never had a bad review from competition, but it’s not a reach to imagine some doof getting annoyed if I happen to do something dumb and exacting his revenge via Google reviews.

I have had some weird phone calls though, from “customers” who don’t want me out to their house for an estimate but REALLY want to know my prices, or perhaps they casually ask if I work alone or have crews, or -the weirdest- customer who grilled me about how I use a squeegee and if it’s really the best way to clean a window. Just stuff that made me go

Even if they are not competitors, I had enough pointless calls like that from curious weirdos that I decided to remove my signage.

Hi, can you share what hose reel that is? Thank you…

Since I wrote this I got 2 calls. Lol
One dude called me , An I answered.
he asked for a manager An I said “what can I do for ya “?
He says “one of your vans just cut me off ,an nearly killed me “.
I was driving 5 MPH merging in on a construction zone 2 lanes into one ,
So I merged in like anyone would do

So I said to the guy ! “ Thanks for the call, this is not the first time with this guy I’m going to jace to fire him.”
I hope he feels good about having someone fired that didn’t do anything wrong.
People are F-Ed up.

Haha, thanks for the compliment. I’m really gonna miss working out of an enclosed vehicle, though. It has its advantages. Nice job with the 4Runner has he got a name?

I forgot to add Chuck to this thread. Here are the links:

Question, what kind of truck is it that you have? I have a Ford Transit Connect, but I am hoping to switch to a pickup. Only concern is my H2Pro RO cart not fitting under a flat cover. Seems you truck bed is deep enough that H2Pro actually fits!
